    I don´t know if it´s an epoch issue or an Arma 3 issue but I will post it anyway. Have you guys been in an AI mission, took the correct distance between you and the enemy with the binoculars (I don't remember the names of the tool now, it's the one that has NV and the distance) zero your weapon correctly and miss by a long shot? For example most of my AI's were at 950 m and I could kill them zeroin at 800 m, how is that possible ?

    Did you use the old database? Then this is the prob, you have to start with a new one, you can not use your altis DB on chernarus!

    No. A damage fix is now built-in.

    I think a chat message, sound notification, and then maybe a "log" of it somewhere is going to be optimal.

    If markers become a "must" I'll have to get everyone to remove marker filters so I can switch to createMarkerLocal commands, but no one likes filter editing.....

    Personally I think markers are a must.  People really like servers with missions, but most folks aren't going to want to search for active missions.  I agree that it's an interesting mechanic, but I also think it won't go over well with most of the population.  Yes, BE filters are a pain, but it's a good experience for people to learn.

    The reason for not using markers is that I want to try to split up missions to different players in the future.
    You could get a radio call that there's X mission while someone else on the map is running Y mission and neither of you know.
    More of a "quest" system than the mission systems of past, I just need to find the right way to do it.
     
    I'm going to work out using customChat instead of systemChat, but if that doesn't pop enough to get the players attention, I'll switch to structured text hints like Wasteland.

    I was in my test server running this and I headed to the town they were in.  I stalked in close without being seen and took out one of them.  Soon as the guy I shot dropped, the other units all moved toward my position and totally surrounded me.  I had to fight my way out of the building I was in.  I thought for sure they were going to come pouring through the door!  Hearing them walking around outside got my heart really pounding!  I took several hits and if the damage had been working I would have been dead several times over.  It didn't feel overpowered though.  I can guarantee you that in a firefight a single shooter isn't going to take down 8 armed guys.  It felt real and well balanced.  HUGE kudos to Vamp!  You've knocked this one out of the park buddy!  And it's not even done yet!  :D

    I updated the pbo again. It should fix the box issue. Box should be where the name of the town is on the map.

    Tomorrow I'll jump around some servers and get some footage with you guys.

    Other than the crashing problem I think most of the mainstream errors are fixed.

    This should work on every Arma 3 Epoch map, like DZMS.
    Also like DZMS a center point for the map and radius will make it better if it does have issues.

    I had to work 8 hours yesterday.
    Unless I hit something I can't test, or a major error, I should have a working version sometime today.
    The Alpha will go to a few testers and then the first version will go up on the Github.

    Should be just errors with AI spawning/loadout, and after that errors with caching/respawning.

    For anyone who's interested I have put up the version of Lootspawner I am using which is set up as follows:
     
    This version includes the additional buildings for Chernarus, plus additional buildings added here:
    I have modified the loot so that:
    Explosives have been removed.
    Aircraft hangars spawn only metal scraps, circuit parts, engine oil, energy packs and vehicle repair kits
    Industrial places are the place to find building materials.
    Hospitals are now the only spawn points for medical items.
    Supermarkets and pubs now only spawn food and drink.
    Offical spawn items (items that you have to search) still spawn everywhere with the default loot.

    Been busy with holidays. Time to get back to work.
     
    I should be able to have a dev version soon.
     
    Also current status is I'm working out the AI spawning script variables, then I will test AI spawning to make sure those scripts work.
    Then all that should be left is making sure the dynamic town invasion works, and set up some debugging.

    Progress update (since I posted this thread originally last friday). The majority of the bulk code is done. All the location finding code is done for now. The next bulk code hurdle is the code that actually spawns the AI, keeps track of them, cleans them up, and caches them. VEMF will cache units that are not near players and respawn them in when players get near to save on server resources which should further minimize lag and allow for more AI on the field.
     
    After this stretch, there will only be small bugs to work out like keeping temporary vehicles from despawning, or being saved by the server if we don't want them to, and making sure the AI behave as they are supposed to. As announced on Github, the first release of VEMF will include Dynamic Town Invasion missions only, and will be expanded on from there (as that will require 80% of the core code to be done).

    - What is VEMF? -
    VEMF is the Spiritual Successor to DZMS.
    VEMF Stands for Vampire's Epoch Mission Framework.
    VEMF is going to be a mission system designed specifically for Arma 3: Epoch.
     
    - How is VEMF different from DZMS? -
    VEMF is being designed to be a Mission Framework.
    VEMF will be more modular than DZMS allowing anyone to easily create an "Addon" for it.
    VEMF will not be a "fetch the box" mission system, it will be much much broader;
    A-B, Multiple Ending, Vehicle Convoys, Vehicle Capture, Manhunts, Investigation/Exploration, and more!
    VEMF will run entirely on the server side, in a server-side PBO.
     
    - When Will it be Done? -
    VEMF is still a work in progress.
     
    The current version is WIP.

    FFS people it's a game, it shouldn't come with politics.
     
    Dave can run his server how he wants, I can run mine how i want and if people don't like it, well they can run there own server.
     
    So many childish threads here lately, can't we all just grow up and play where we want, how we want :)
