    We even had a vote to change back to day and it stayed night.
     
    I took off my NVGs grabbed my heli and went for a 20 mins spin around the map just cuz.

    Ya pretty sure dirty sanchez has put more time and effort into most the servers out there. Donations are what they are to keep it up and running.

    1. I agree motivation for player vs player interaction is a must.
     
    In the past myself and others on our server ran Player group based events... with lots of success.
     
    example: 1 clan takes a protect V.I.P. , escort convoy , Hold defend town ( usally with a V.I.P. element holding a missom document ) etc  and are paid a fee for taking the contract plus bonus per tagged member for achieving objectives ( all convoy survives , vip killed but documents protected ).

    Then all other groups and individual players are given TARGET details, And are paid on achieving set conditions within either (A) Time frame or (B) before defending team reaches a destination.

    These events required little other than an admin to spectate and give out awards ... and players on server.
     
    2. The issue with above events is without a pre defined script they do require admin assitqnce, ... were as allowing for players to " accept a misson ' based  on player pop ... or even creating random " capture the town - every member of group adds to team count and reward payout - similar to KOTH  , would be awesome....

    3. All i know dor sure is that when players are presented with an objecrive they can all reasonably travel to ... and the reward is interesting ( a 50.al ute on a server with very limited armed vehicles for example , or a truck full of high cap vests and carry alls , or a strider loaded with charges ) ...

    Server Pop runs straight there. even normally non pvp groups get in on the actiom.  And a server that promotes these events gains pop.

    But a MOD that does this automatically ... god dam ... that would be amazing....

    Is there a way to make an event where a random city gets marked on the map and gets higher/max loot rate than the global setting for the server?  
     
    I want something that would drive players to interact, risk pvp, and get a reward  that is not AI driven.

    For realism it would need to be some kind of supply point.  I have an idea ;)

    I think this games needs less AI overall and more mechanics that force players to come to core spots. The players themselves are the best monsters. 
     
    Making looting concentrated in one or two cities per restart, having only 2 places to go to get rid of Toxic levels that have real impact, making cars/Heli's show on the map when parked, let drones show the player on the map when set off...have ATMs or Gas Stations show use on the map or make a sound when in use....those kind of things will make this game. 
     
    Crafting is also big. Making your own heli or bike or upgrading them would be nice. 
     
    Once you have a base, $$$, and loot ...there is lil more to do. In a lot of servers it becomes a PVE thing most of the time. AI burn out is real.
     
    DayZ missed the boat b/c it lagged on getting out real base crafting and a way to get around the map. This game has that but is missing elements that force the players together.

    We have it on the server. It is ok but I want something that is city based and makes the player move about. The cap points has its place but it can be a lot like fishing. 
     
    If you have ever gone into a Max Loot server you will see the PVP get really going but players don't move on from spawn areas much. I'd like to have that kind of play in one city and have the whole server want to come to that one city. I don't want the whole server to be a loot feast tho.

    Nice idea. You could run something that adds additional loot on lootable objects as they are looted, within the radius. A server side add-on would suit.
