sudden server pbo issue

Question

So all of a sudden now when editing anything inside my server.pbo (specifically a simple true/false on ahconfig [infistar]) I get stuck at waiting for server auth.

Seems that whenever a change is made the server fails to find the server monitor or fucntions...ect ect.


this is the rpt working...with some errors

Well what i'm seeing is that whenever you try and edit something you are obviously messing something up...  :D

not just saying this to be an ass hole but I'm getting a hunch that you are changing some directories probably on accident due to the line saying "Error Missing"

That means it can't find the file. What I suggest doing is starting from your default files and try again. Make sure there are no errors in your log, then do your scripts 1 by 1 again untill you run into the error.

Now the mission pbo seems to not load;  timed to 30 seconds and black screen.

there's no errors in that log, infact it shows you logging in

I didn't see any but the screen loads in black, only debug shows up on top right, then when i hit 'esc' it dumps me in an open field; telling me it's not finidng the map/mission.pbo that it needs now that i've editied out those brackets

last time I checked there was never low_admins.sqf, normal_admins.sqf, super_admins.sqf, or blacklist.sqf  with the AH unless you are using some hosts modified version. 

I havent commented them out; the ahconfig file is direct from chirs at infistar

 

the real issue i see is the char. id

When people said you had too many }; they didn't mean remove all of them.

It was saying you were missing server files because it could not run them correctly as they were being called on the client instead of the server.

includes are # out like // or a ! correct?


Your edits to the init fixed the issue and brought the character back in.

missing a bunch of my base but that it seems it went away with my plot pole haha  oh well



I am going to try editing the true/falses in AHconfig again.

After getting everything goody goody i took a stab at editing the server pbo again.

First i tried to edit  out a WAI config error; then i tried editing AHconfig

ANY and ALL edits i make to my server pbo result in this in the rpt

Here lies a problem that pops up with any edits to the server pbo

Why would i be having this issue when editing anything in the server pbo??

for example i have 

addons

compile

DZAI

init

missions

modules

system

WAI

This error occurs editing both the WAI/AICONFIG and inti/AHconfig
