Plot pole that follows UID

Why doesn't the plot pole follow the UID, this would stop people from needing to regain ownership. The deconstruct plot pole could also be removed or set so only the owner can deconstruct it. This would prevent people from stealing your base.

On combination lock why isn't there a "Unlock with key" function this would make the people (like me) that forgets things easily, get a easier way to get inside the house instead of having to write down the key in a notepad on the desktop...

I can deal with the need to have a plot pole, but what is really unfortunate is that I have to keep a backup of a dozen toolboxes just to take the damn thing down.  This needs to change fundamentally.

I understand the reasoning behind the plot pole and I like some of the protections it provides, however the way this is implemented is just not working..  I think this issue needs to be rethought from the ground up.  There has to be a better answer.

The main purpose for a plot pole as of right now is...

Protect the owners base from grief building?  So you pay a price for that luxury.  You want to penalize the owner for dying in a die multiple times per day game so you make the owner upon death take the pole down and put it back up.  Well how can we make that more of a penalty?  Let's make it so you have to bring 12 toolboxes and 12 crowbars to pull a stake out of the ground?

Now, I understand that you also don't want it to be so easy for a stranger to just take the pole either but...  Can't you see this is just fundamentally wrong?  It's some arbitrary measures that make no sense whatsoever.  It's a needless pain in the ass process that could/should be changed to a process that actually adds something to the game other than frustration by "breaking" an entire toolbox over and over again... There has to be a better way to implement what you are trying to achieve.  I respect the hard work that has gone into this mod, I know it's easy to say "I want this or I want that" if you aren't the one making this stuff, I know there is no easy fix, so I'll stop whining now.

What if all restrictions stayed the same except that the player that originally placed the plot-pole needs only one toolbox and crowbar to remove no matter what?

So an enemy/bandit needs to pile up the toolboxes to assume maximum control of your property but you only have to replace the plot pole once to reset it?

Is it even possible to have an item recognize the Player ID and the Character ID under separate parameters?

I dont agree with this penalty upon death. You are already penalized. You lose all your gear, tools, skin a possibly your vehicle. You spawn on the coast and have to struggle to get back to your base with nothing. Plus with the exploits in game someone can just glitch into your base n shoot you in the back, take your plot pole and now you have literally nothing... seems to harsh and if I had invested months into my base n my gear just to start over because of a glitch I probably would never play again.

On the other note why would you want a key to your base?! At least now if you die people cant go in your base unless you left your door open...
