0 robbiedarza Posted December 10, 2013 Author Report Share Posted December 10, 2013 Ive sorted it thanks dude, I was using the hatchet I had before the update, so I dropped that went out, found a new one and that worked.....must be something to do with the new patch maybe. 0 kubi Posted December 11, 2013 Report Share Posted December 11, 2013 The hatchet classname changed from MeleeHatchet to MeleeHatchet_DZE in 1.0.3. chopwood.sqf is no longer required to chop wood, it's handled as damage now instead of a distinct action for chopping wood. If your hatchet makes a clicking noise like it's out of ammo and shows the ammo count in the top right then you're still using an old hatchet. I didn't have any issues with the existing hatchets on my server, they all worked fine after the update. I did spawn the wrong hatchet when I was testing wood chopping and had the same issue before I tracked it down. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

You have an ItemHatchet instead of ItemHatchet_DZE. If you do have the right hatchet, equip it to your primary weapons slot, look at the tree and press the fire button. If that doesn't work, go buy a new hatchet from a trader or find one in a barn. ty for the response, nope i have the ItemHatchet_DZE. however i did try ur suggestion to get a new one. got the same class name "ItemHatchet_DZE" i did try hitting trees for about 2 minutes straight until my finger got numb :P and nothing. im using the the map "SMD Sara A2" not sure if trees there have a different class name, im yet to try this on another map. any more suggestions? this is really becoming to be an inconvenience in the server.
