Does anyone know what script or section of code this is coming from? I can't find this function anywhere, any ideas? I saw someone else get a similar error with the towing script. Cig Posted February 24, 2015 Report Share Posted February 24, 2015 I have set it as posted but the spawn box is still at bottom of the ocean. If I am reading the changes to the Mission.sqm correctly, this is just to place the "Headless Client" entity somewhere and then make it so they cannot be damaged. So I don't think this should be changing where the spawn box is located correct? That would have to be done with a _SetPos variable. If you added the custom radio sound and radiochatter interface to your 'descriptions.ext', make sure you do not have Class CfgSounds or Class RscTitles defined twice in there. Should be done with this by the weekend. ******AdminControls********* #Restrictions: This functionality will not work properly with a Theme using Mission Selection option 4 (multi-mission spawn) Functionality: Turing on admin Controls in the BaseServerData.sqf will make the following variables available to all Clients! From these variables an Admin will be able to construct their own scripts to control the behaviour of themes and their associated missions. FuMS_ActiveThemes[] - global array that contains list of themes operating on the server FuMS_AdminThemeContorlEnabled[] - Initially set by the 'admin control' option within the ThemeData.sqf. When this value is 'true' the behavior of the theme is modified as follows: *The theme's FuMS_ActiveThemeOn is set to 'false'. This results in no missions from this theme spawning until action is taken by an admin via scripts. *Any missions spawned under this theme, that do not contain a location position or location name in the ThemeData.sqf will use the location stored in the below variable as the spawn location: FuMS_AdminThemeSpawnLoc[] - modifiable by the admin, this contains the location missions should spawn when a Theme is turned back on. FuMS_AdminThemeOn[] - array for each theme. Setting this value to false will halt the theme's control loop. Any current mission in progress will continue, but when it completes, no further missions in that theme will spawn. Setting the value to true will resume the control loop. Upon modifying any of these variables a PV call must be made to update the info on the headless client! Example: FuMS_ActiveThemeOn set [2, false]; publicVariable "FuMS_ActiveThemeOn"; This will cause theme #2 (3rd theme in the FuMS_ActiveThemes array) to stop. Once its current mission completes no further missions from this theme will spawn. Setting it back to true, and broadcasting it will turn the theme back on. Any chance you could incorporate something similar in FuMS? :DMy server has been filling up recently and I'm having performance issues when it reaches capacity (55 players).I have FuMS and A3EAI active with usually about 30-40 AIL and 30-40 AIR (I keep tweaking the amount to try and find a sweet spot for performance).The server is an i7 3770 with plenty of RAM and running from an SSD and it's struggling to stay above 10FPS/CPS at busy periods, being able to have the missions dynamically check whether the server is able to start the mission without going too low FPS/CPS wise would be a great help :)Secondly, do you think I would see a performance increase moving the headless client to a second machine (in the same room) or is it better having the low latency of a localhost connection?CPU usage is usually around 70% with the server accounting for about 56% and the HC about 15%thanks again for all your time and effort dude :) MillerTime 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

HerrOrhan Posted February 25, 2015 Report Share Posted February 25, 2015 yo, i just wanted to let u guys know that after some issues and a lot of retardness of myself this AI mission framework works like a charme. running it on 2 servers atm each with 170 - 220 bots at the same time and there are literally no errors. only 1 minor issue (only counts if your players are like 14yrs old life players) is when the headless client crashes and restarts the server takes over the AI but not the missions/markers and on HC reconnect FuMS (not sure if it doesn't try to take the AI back) just spawns new bots and missions. long story short: keep the amazing work going horbin ! When the HC initially connects there is a little bit of a hit as the data files are passed, but after that the only interaction occurs when a new mission spawns, and that is fairly insignificant. I will look at an option 'suspend' themes when they request a mission if the server FPS drops below a 'configurable' value. HerrOrhan, When the HC disconnects all the AI, vehicles, buildings should be cleaned up by the server. This should occur before the HC is permitted to re-connect and restart the missions. In your Server's .rpt you should see messages about a 'lost heartbeat' followed by the server conducting a cleanup. You ARE running 2 HC's!!!! Not something I had planned for! I will come up for a solution to this too. I think the server may be not seeing the DC of one HC because the other one is tricking the server into thinking it is still there. I'm going to try disabling A3EAI at next restart in a few hours to see if it runs ok with just FuMS active.If so I'll just have to create some roaming vehicle patrols (like the heli ones) in FuMS to replace the patrols I currently have in A3EAI.
