ekroemer, it works fine. If a player has a delay of 2 minutes I think that maybe indicative of another issue. There should be no reason a player cannot count down from 10 without it taking much more than 10 seconds. I would tend to say it might be caused by too many threads and a low spec PC and the player is always lagging behind. Extra mods added on top of epoch will make this scenario even worse.

I have experienced this issue myself and I have a rather high end PC and don't see any more lagging during normal play then others do (thus host sided network/db delays).

 

I guess that leaves mod load and hoster connection issues?

 

What are the technicals here? The normal abort countdown works just fine, how is the after-death countdown organized?

I would have expected every countdown to depend on the local client's clock but at least for the death abort that seems to be not the case.

 

Could our problems be correlated with the 'network message pending'  issue?
