Crafting I am yet to try but how many arrows do you get out of a woodpile and a razor? If its 1 would it be possible to change it to 2/3? Or even a quiver if you have 2 woodpiles, metal scrap and piece of Burlap? Whats the possibility of a torch modeled like the hatchet, small flame with light radius? Woodpile and Canvas to create and once holding (Primary Slot) matches to light on fire/put out. Perhaps a timer on the fire set similar to the Flares. From there you can perhaps also "Drop/Deploy" Steak it into the ground. Considering Metal Scrap is a 3 Slot Item and Tank traps 1 could you "Smelt" 1x Metal Scrap for 2x Tank Traps. Traps - One of my favorite ideas would be a range of traps you can create to trigger events or just do damage. ( Not sure if even possible if you believe/code hard enough anything can be :) ) Spike Traps - 2x Metal Scrap or even 6x Tin Cans (Toolkit Required) Deploy like a bear trap but instead of breaking legs just causes bleed. Flare Alarms - 1x M203 Flare, 1x Burlap (For the Ropes), 1x Scrap Metal (Knife and Toolkit Required) Deploy as an invisible area or even "Small Grass Cutter Building", players who walk over set off the flare.. More to follow.. Wrecks (Love Em!) I heard in the grape vine somewhere about cleaning up of wrecks producing sometimes a random vehicle part. What about if they spawned with "Dynamic" loot with chances to salvage like cars. But always yielding scrap metal in volumes depending on the size/type of the wreckage. Once all parts removed the wreck removes. Dayz 1.7.7 Will you guys be looking at re-building around the new developments coming in? Or continue running in Parallel? I am liking the rolling change logs posted on the forums by Razor. Especially the [NEW] Sections... [NEW] - 2 new stash sites. (tools required = Etool or Shovel. Items required = 1 sandbog for small 2 for medium) Small = 8 objects slots, no weapons, no bags. Medium = 16 Objects 1 weapon , no bags [NEW] - 2 New Melee weapons.(Bat,Shovel) [NEW] - 2 New Bat variations used in crafting. (NailedBat,WiredBat) [NEW] - Crafting is now added. [NEW] - Attachment Crafting is the only way to upgrade weapons. (Attachments are found they need other objects to be crafted before being applied to weapons) Will post more in here, but now I need sleep. Is there a way to add a random chance of a sidearm, watches, assorted tools even backpacks to spawn on zombies at chance. The loot-spawn is rather raw on them and I feel could use some work.. I mean its not like they dropped what they were carrying once bitten and passed on. They were survivors prior to being infected after all right? On another note.. or drank all their whiskey!! All the bars are dry! What I wouldn't give to find one of those bottles still full, could even work it in as a medical requirement to chance off infection after hit by zeds or just to get smashed and sing around the fire at night.. :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Deployable objects like tents that have a chance to catch say 10-30% a rabbit on server restart? - Higher chance say 30-50% if deployed in the field, however easier to spot and get looted by someone else. Cleaned up with other deployables in mission parameters if not checked and can be destroyed by vehicles. Survivor Sleeping Bag? Think of it as a high very amount use heat pack that makes you prone and unable to move until inactivated .. It should be cold at night and these would save you if your stuck out in the wild .. or camping a top a roof. :D Craft-able via Canvas and "Feathers" from chickens or vendors. lolw00t 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Effectively replacing the white smoke grenades, these would do gradual damage and cause pain to survivors only from landing point in the direction of the wind perhaps if possible if not a radius damage. I would it be a thrown option replacing red smoke grenades and removing them as drops from the game.Craft-able only by the combination of any compressed canister, tin can and 2 blood bags. Thinking Bug Sprays and deodorants could be added as trash/vanity/crafting items. Perhaps walking near this can also have an transferal effect on the player(s) for a time period unless they are carrying spare clothes to change. I know its a little Thin for some vehicles, but maybe limit the class to only smaller vehicles, towed vehicle goes up on back. Needing maybe a toolbox and a new toolbelt item - Tow Ropes. Animation can be worked on some more to perhaps include a ramp later and the need to drive up onto it with tow option only available at very limited distances. http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=16956 Whole pack actually has some other options as well if you check it out. I love vehicle towing as a lone wolf a lot of the time I can keep my "Main" vehicle and tow the ones I find.. not needing to be on foot so much. And the one vehicle only able to tow it/others would be handy. The vehicles would attach on the back diagonally like its actually being towed.. This one would need once again a toolbox and a new toolbelt item - Tow Ropes. Tow ropes themselves being quite heavy and not the best thing to carry everywhere.. There's a lot of good ideas here but at some point it just becomes ARMA 2 with some zombies instead of the survival game DayZ started as. This is for the devs of epoch to look at adding into the dayz epoch mod. I have to say there is a lot of content out there for arma 2 and a lot of it could work well and some not so much. I will do my best to add what I think will help the mod grow into something amazing .. 1, Combat Medical System v0.1 Alpha Released I think this Combat Med system is a amazing. It really adds to being a medic in arma 2 and think would really add to dayz. 2. Dayz loot spawning : As I play the mod loot still does not spawn right .. As you drive up to the loot it will not spawn. I understand this is something that was a problem within the main mod but should be looked at and try to be fixed. I have seen server owners fix this so I know it can be done.. 3. Kikyou2's Addon To Base Building http://opendayz.net/threads/release-basebuilding-1-2-improvements-0-1-better-and-editable-keycode-permanent-owner.10485/ As you can see in the image above this really adds all the items in epoch to a fully working GUI for the base building . This GUi with the code system works well and epoch servers that run this Base building mod or version of it a showing huge player counts. It is clear that this is what the players want in dayz. Why remake the wheel when all the work is done. I would get the ok from Kikyou2 and daimyo21 to use this mod in epoch and just add to it. We need to get this working soon and show Dean Hall that above ground base building works in Arma 2, Arma 3 and Dayz SA. If the modders do now show the dayz team this will work and work well we will have dumb underground base building system that will not add anything to the world. To me that is what base building is about. To show off your hard work to everyone in the server. 4. Working into the mod something like the Acre mod. I do not see why this is not added yet. Almost everyone that I have played dayz with plays on teamspeak. Adding the amazing acre mod into epoch would just add to the gameplay. The devs could even take it to the next level by adding the Radio broadcasting system that dean hall was talking about in E3 this week. Acre mod already supports a broadcasting system. Adding this would give in game radios some life. I know I had posted in the Github about added Radios into the Friendly Tag system and it was Milestoned for 1.1 . 4a: Grouping system : This part being removed from dayz never got me. Again players will group up and play most have to do it over teamspeak and other means, for the game does not allow it. In real life you can tell who that player is from how they walk and move. From their set hair cut and body style and face features. In a video game everyone looks the same. You can not fully tell who that player is .. I think the group system from Wasteland should be added here. Green arrows over their head makes more sence to me for a friendly then a Red dot on their chest. To me red means kill. Also being able to use an interface like what is in the group system of wasteland in invite all your buddys into a party makes sence. The tools are there why not allow then to do it in game. Stopping this just hinders gameplay and the fun factor .. And it is not from the fact that the zombies move slower ....Even though that is cool . Being a fan of the walking dead I prefer slower zombies. In the end dayz was never really about the zombies. It was about living in a world that when to hell. But the big thing about this addon is the Server and Client FPS gains. Improving fps is huge as we all know . Freeing up power is never a bad thing. Improving AI path finding is huge. Even the Main Dayz Dev team has not done this .. Having people like mmmyum doing work like this is what will move dayz and all the mods of dayz forward. I have to say I do post a lot of feedback about a lot of different things about the mod. The reason I do is I want to see it move forward. I also understand that coding is a lot of work and this shit takes time. With arma 2 at the end of its life cycle and Arma 3 starting is life. I know the devs at epoch are looking into arma 3. We all know arma 3 is an amazing game and again is allowing modders to openly code into the game. I hope that the epoch team are looking at perhaps the development of a menu system similar as a inventory and building table could then be introduced to workshops would then remove the confusion for people and the need to 3rd party info outside the game. Acre is something to be looked at or even tweaking the in-game chat system itself down the line and could tie in with radio's and new items themselves. Grouping system could be worked on with the friendly system. I like it currently but could be tweaked. Zombies are awesome, i think this could make Epoch Stand "Apart" from Dayz some more, but then again alot of new mods coming soon will deploy them once finished. Keep the ideas coming!
