1.0.4 install help

I have a dedicated box running 4           1.0.3.1 ok 

 

i am trying to run a test server for 1.0.4 so i can update my files ready for dc to update etc i have downloaded the server & client files on the box and also d,loaded the client files on my own machine etc

 

 

however when i try to connect i get the error server is running incorrect version of server side application and will not let me connect

 

i have checked and double checked that's its the correct version but alas i am now out of ideas and was wondering if any kind person had any ideas ?

1. First update your visual studio c++ redist to http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=40784

2. Second copy the .DLL files from the "Binaries" folder from 1.0.4 server files into your ArmA 2 OA root folder.

3. Make sure you have uploaded the new "@DayZ_Epoch_Server" folder to update hiveext.dll and the server pbo.

Hm, i will try something. If i got a solution for this i will post it here...

Getting a MSVCP120.dll is missing error and server stops loading.  Did steps above to same end result.

Install x86 and x64 Setups

Ok, I'll try, I've only installed the x64 as the server is x64 OS.  I'll report back.

 

**** OK, that got me in the server and I'm now in game, however, I don't see any of the buildables.  I logged out in my base.  Now logging in there are no modular buildings that I built and no vehicles that I bought...

 

Gonna restart.

 

Restart brought it all back so unrelated hiccup I guess.

 

So the x86 and x64 both being downloaded and installed seemed to fix my issues.  Thank you.

I dont know where my mistake was, but now everything works fine for me!

I removed all files and did a fresh mod install. And i promise when the next patch comes i read all "readme" files! :wacko:
