Sneer
I installed a linux server running epoch, I have a HC running and it connects however it doesn't do anything. I have tried to get a3eai or VEMF to use it but it always just says waiting for HC to connect. Should the HC player show in the lobby as a user? I'm a little confused and all the information I can find is old or in pieces. Can anyone help with this?
He-Man
For a while, I had a HC for Windows on Epoch. I think it is general the same?! I had it for Fums. What I know is, you have to modify your mission.sqm and activate HC in the config: In the config add: localClient[]={127.0.0.1}; // the IP of the HC headlessClients[] = {"127.0.0.1"}; // the IP of the HC battleyeLicense=1; For the mission have a look on my sqm (It is Vanilla Altis, only HC added): http://pastebin.com/RQ5KRKLg My Starparameter for HC was: -mod=@Epoch; -client -connect=127.0.0.1 -port=2302 -nosound Hope it helps you
Sneer
Thank you that was very helpful. It works but in 0.4.0 sqm it doesn't show the groups in the lobby anymore. The A3EAI connects now but gives an error that the HC is not compatible then fails. I suppose the a3eai needs to be updated or something but it might work with other mods. I get it .. fums as in the mission system
He-Man
I think fums is one of the best Mission Systems, but the HC sometimes crash on a high loaded Server. So we had to Stop working with HC :(
Sp4rkY
Really? Never had problems with it, also when my server was high populated. I just customized FuMs a bit because there are some unnecessary stuff in it. Worked like a charme.
He-Man
Yes, for a long time it worked also well for us. But then the "memory could not be written" comes more and more. I think this was also a problem for the HC. Could be, that this problems are gone...
Sp4rkY
Ah the memory crashes... Then i guess it was a problem related to an Arma update in times of the 1.48 - 1.55. Should no more be an issue now. :)
