credit for mods are in init.sqf and i would like to thank myself and the dayz community for help with the fixes, etc.  if it wasnt for all you guys... i would be doing something constructive ;)

 

knockout is there and shows up on scroll but guy just kneels down/bends over and nothing.  problem could be in configuration.  let me know if you find a fix or whatever.

Yer, I love it because it's permanent bases :D (Provided the hive file is edited to stop them being wiped after 6 days that is!) - So players bases can't be taken down by other players, which I prefer personally :)

 

Problem is, it seems to not work with 1.0.1.4 onwards :( I'm waiting to get a version that works with 1.0.1.5... I'll give you a shout when I have something sorted :D

 

 

@petuniaepoch - ive been using the standard basebuilding.  is 1.2 pretty cool?  ill check it out

I tried out your server pbo on my dayz.st server and still a no go for me (stuck at auth). Can anyone on Dayz.st confirm that the admin tools fix works for them?

i wish i could say i didnt try that but i did, also tried your files and still getting stuck in req auth, only thing that works for me is the untouched pack. admin tools work for me on dayz.st its just the spawning vehicles disappearing

 

do your vehicles stay spawned? if so how long do they last on the server?

@masterblaster and wattles - you pack my dayz_server files into a pbo and upload and you get req.auth hang?  that is very strange.  server from pack worked unless you edited it (needed for vehicle spawn to work).  i am familiar with req. auth and got around it with stuff on page 25, this is very very interesting.

Yep used the file you posted, didnt touch it and packed it and uploaded. With the pbo from the custom pack everything works fine, just no matter what I try I cant get the fix for the vehicle spawn to work. Im guessing it has to be on the backend of dayz.st that is messing with something.

most of the stuff in the package is possible to implement on Tavi just remember that u need to use the tavi files such as the fn_selfactions & compiles

Thanks Richardfromlost. I pretty must implemented everything in this pack myself, but when I got to self bloodbag I hit a snag.

This reply put me on the right track and got self blood and kept my epoch menus like lock/unlock.

I borrow the dayz_code overrides and called them from my init.sqf. BAM bloodbags!

 

And here I was almost ready to give into chernarus again... but I left my heart in taviana! lol

@wattles and masterblaster - have you tried the server pbo switcheroo? its where you take your first backup of latest epoch.  keep $prefix$ keep pboprefix from backup then replace compile, system, init, config.bin with same from my shiz.  if you have done that, im sorry im at a lose.  ill keep my fingers crossed for you.

Use these, they're updated instructions.

 

Step 1: Download 1.2.1 from OP and extract files to a unique folder (DayZEpoch Chernarus Custom Pack v1.2.1)

 

Step 2: Open the folder you extracted. If you need to make any alterations to customize this package, open the Mission folder and make any changes you need to.

 

Step 3: After you have made any necessary changes, either upload the custom.pbo files located in the folder, or create a new .pbo file from the mission and server files folder, naming them dayz_server.pbo and DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus.pbo according to which folder.

 

Step 4: Server files need to go to File Manager > @DayZ_Epoch_Server > Addons (Make sure to make a backup of your current mission file)

 

Step 5: Mission Files need to go to File Manager > MPMissions (Make sure to make a backup of your current mission file)

 

Step 6: Change the name of your server in the config files > config.cfg location to reflect current custom package.

 

Step 7: Start up server and test functionality. 

 

Step 8: edit scripts.txt in your BattlEye folder with the contents of the new scripts.txt file.

 

 

I followed these instructions and the server loads fine untill it gets to the authenticating character screen, it just hangs there and does nothing, the progress bar stops and it wont go any further. Antbody any idea's getting desperate now, my server been broken a week almost :(

Make sure that your server instance numbers all match up.  For Chernarus it should be 11 across the board.  For other maps its different.  Check your database tables (notated as "Instance"), mission files and server file to make sure they all match.  I had a similar issue and that ended up being the problem.

 

If that doesn't work let me know.  I need to know who your host is or if you're running things on a dedicated box.  If we are running a similar setup I may be able to dropbox you my server and mission files, which are known to be working.

BINGO!  There's your problem.  Is your server on a private hive or the official hive?  If it's on the official hive I don't think its going to work.  The pack makes use of some weapons and items that aren't in the official DayZ mod.  It's more designed for private hive servers.  

 

If you're running a private hive, then you need to either edit your database to reflect instance 11 for all tables or edit your game files to reflect instance 204.  Editing the game files would be simpler from a difficulty standpoint, but just keep in mind that you will have to make the same changes to the same files every time a new pack update is released, since they default to 11.  If you want to edit the database we can write you a sql script that can change the instance id to 11 in your database.  Or, you could just scrap your current database and create a new one with the proper instance id.  If you'd like to discuss these options in detail, send me a PM and I will give you my Teamspeak info.  I should be on most of the morning.

@Wattles mdswish is correct. Inside the init.sqf in the Mission.pbo you will find a field to change the instance.

 

If you are running a Dayz.st server your instance will not be 11 though, it will be the number of your Database or look at you database user name.

 

If the instance is wrong it won't show vehicles on the map because its loading them into the wrong instance/database.

 

Check your database and you will see a bunch of vehicles loaded but with the wrong instance. Delete them as they are useless.

 

Correct the init.sqf instance number to match your database and they will appear. I made the mistake myself

 

Also in order for my server to work I have to use my own PBOs from Dayz.st and manually add the Mods from Bingles pack. I use notepad++ with the compare plugin to see the difference between 2 files.

 

By doing this I have Bingles pack 1.2.1 working with Epoch 1.0.1.5 with extras

Also the people having trouble with Admin Tools vehicle disappearing after a few seconds its due to Server_cleanup.fsm //Check for Hackers

I changed mine to with DZAI:

and all good (I don't advise Admin Tools on Main server, just on Test server to check that things are working properly)

Agreed.  ST does their stuff a little differently than if you're running a server yourself, as I am.  You can either follow the directions of Snstr86 and delete all database items with instance 11, or you can use phpmyadmin or Navicat to use this sql query to update them to 204:

 

UPDATE "table_name"

SET InstanceID = 204

WHERE InstanceID = 11

 

You would need to run that sql query for each individual table where an InstanceID is specified, changing "table_name" to specify the desired tables.  You will want to remove the quotes from the table name when you run the query.   Keep in mind that this stuff IS case sensitive.  SQL can be picky that way.  The only potential problem with updating the InstanceID data is that you may wind up with the server spawning two items in the same worldspace, meaning that you could have vehicles inside a building or two vehicles on top of each other, or people spawning under buildings and such.  A safer route would be to delete the ones with InstanceID 11.

 

The reason you were getting stuck is because your character's id # was assigned with instance 204.  So now you're trying to log in with that same character id (which is tied to your player and cannot be changed) and the dayz mission files are expecting you to be having a character id for instance 11.  The software doesn't know how to handle that type of error, so it just leaves you stuck in limbo.

To wipe a Dayz.st server:

 

Change map to something other than Chernarus (Preferably one you have already downloaded in Dayz Commander) > Log in once

 

Change map back to chernarus and save > change mod to Epoch and save

 

Database will be reset

Still getting a couple of issues with this pack, would appreciate it if someone could help me ;

 

 - Battle eye kicks for taking clothes. The most common errors displayed are "script restriction #0 set pos" and sometimes script resctiction #292  - even though the scripts file doesn't even go that high. Here's a link to the scripts file I am using - http://files.enjin.com/59994/Test/scripts.txt

 

 - The tag system isn't working at all with this pack. No tags are showing up in-game. I'm guessing it's got something to do with the dayz_code.pbo. I am on a HFB server and I DIDNT remove the dayz_code folder from the missions folder (just seemed easier not to and someone one here said it wasnt necessary).

 

 - When enabling the admin mod safes stop working properly. Again I think this has something to do with the dayz_code.pbo not being removed.

 

 

Really appreciate any assistance with this, starting to get sick of the sight of dayz files!!!!

HI there ,

got the pack 1.2.1, downloaded and instalaled it, works pretty fine but the Refuel Script wont work for me. Tryed to Reinstall, checked some Paths but i cant really find a clue. Besides i also got the Script Restriction 0 when players striped bodys.

 

My Server :

Nitrado LITE Epoch Chenarus 1.0.1.5

No scripts except this Serverpack
