niteLight

Recommended Posts

niteLight[] = {1.88,22};//Set ambient lighting at night: {Brightness of light,Height of light}. Default (Low Ambient): {1.88,22} | Twilight: {7.2,88} | Distant: {12.8,142}

Is this the bright light that I see around me at night?

It seems to follow me around.

I'd like to disable it if that's what this is.

I just want natural lighting.

Thank you.

In my opinion, this night light is good idea just implemented idiotically. I have seen servers with disabled it and it makes everything pitch black. Especially since the newest arma 3 updates when Bugemia being an bunch of amateurs screwed up lightning even more by making beams shorter. You can try to reduce this night light, but not disable it completely. It makes gameplay realistic, since even in nights without moon you can see a little bit in the dark.

I agree that the lighting has been messed up somehow.

I tried the high setting for nitelight just to test and it's similar to full moon nights like we had in A2 Epoch.

The biggest problem I see is that when you enter a vehicle and start traveling you leave the nitelight behind.

It's not bad when you're on foot.

The lower setting bugged me when I was in the jungle as I could look up and see this bright light glowing in the trees. I thought I was being followed by a UFO. ;>)

Thanks for the reply.

Just checked the codes and should be in.

Make sure, that you have set it right in the config:

niteLight[] = {1,1.88,22};

niteLight[] = {on/off , brightness , z-offset};

Or is it broken from the last Arma update?!

Thank you He-Man.

I didn't realize it had to be switched on or off.

The previous version was just the 2 settings for brightness & height.

Set ambient lighting at night: {Brightness of light,Height of light}. Default (Low Ambient): {1.88,22} | Twilight: {7.2,88} | Distant: {12.8,142}

Now I have it set to: 1,12.8,150

Works great now.

Thanks again.
