Switching Maps

Hi Guys,

I am fairly new to Arma3 and have a dumb question,

How do I switch maps? I am currently running Altis and was thinking of going to the Chenerus map. I know how to do this in Arma2 but everything I have tried in Arma 3 just causes the server to not start up.

Start everything fresh, your old database has to be deleted as well.

Then change the launch parameters to now include @allinarmaterrainpack and in your config.cfg load the Chernarus mission file.

 

template = epoch.Chernarus; // DO NOT CHANGE THIS, IT WILL BREAK YOUR SERVER

 

That's basically it :)

Of course, any addon the server runs the clients need as well :)

AiA TP allows the use of A1 and A2 assets, you can't use any A2 map without it, although developement has ceased, @CUP will soon be the next one but for now it's AiA TP

Ah that sucks, we already struggle here with a small community without making it complicated, thanks for the quick answer though

sorry for the double post, I hit back on my browser and it reposted my question, by the way thank you fopr your answer, now my next question is how can I st my database up for more than one server? I want to run a test server as well and I am not familiar with the redis database. if this were sql I would not be asking this question.

Search "redis" or "multiple" on this forum.. There's plenty of posts describing the options and advantages/disadvantages these options have.
