Will there be Taviana Map for Epoch A3?

Help Make Taviana a very much playable Map for Epoch.
 
 
We are only interested in fixes and addons that work along side epoch code. so that we have no more to do when future releases are avaiable to update.
 
 
To do list:

• Download Origins1.7.9 and adabt it for epoch. Done
• Create epoch.Tavi for MP mission folder, configure using exisiting files, such as epoch.altis and adabt it for Taviana. Done
• Fix Traders positions, added spawn points - Done
• Fix Vehicles spawning in water - - Done 
• Replace some glitched classes (ie. bridges, buildings, etc) - in progress
• Add ATM to support Krypto Banking. - Done
• Add loot to new className buildings - Done

 

 

1. Download @Taviana from A3 Launcher - Remove emod.pbo and emod.pbo.A3_Tavi_v02.bisign if it contains one in addons. 

2. Create a new map config call it Tavi.h and copy and paste this code to get phone booths and basic functionality working, make sure you upidate config.cpp to inlcude Tavi.h:

Taviana 2.0 is buggy as hell, you get screen tearing in sabina and other issues, Taviana 3.0 runs fine as far as i can tell :)

what was the newest version ? the second that Origins used? it was released later on and it was alot more stable, alot of servers used it to create Overpochin server on arma 2, it wasnt 2.0 thats for sure.. I wanna say maybe 1.5 or 1.9?

Taviana 2.0 is the version martin released before he jumped into bed with Kingcunt, it's a really nice A2 map but won't play nicely on A3

Taviana 3.0 is the version updated for Origins, it has extra islands, bug fixes and loads of shite all over the roads, it works fine on A3

If anyone else out there with experience scripting would like to see Taviana 3.0 to Epoch; I'm willing to help.  I've had experience working with A2 and A3 servers in the past.  Anyone know if this map is free to use? Or will this cause a shit storm with DayZ Origins devs (if they're still around)?

Setting up is easy, just move anything with fixed coordinates to some place sensible, static traders, spawn points etc

so the map itself will work just by copying it over from arma 2 to the route of my arma 2 MPmission folder? or do you have to change ithings to its adabted for arma 3? i am not talking about trader positions etc

You'll need to use the AiA Terrain Pack, so it'll be -mod=@Epoch;@allinarmaterrainpack;@DayzOrigins.

You can also bin lots of the Origins files, they're not used and log as errors.

 

I plan on making this when i get some free time, my server keeps me busy, this would be a side project.

i am trying to set it up on my server (this is not a public server) just a server on my desktop that is my side project.

 

can you breifly tell me what i need to do to get taviana 3.0 working on my test server (which is an altis fresh server)

 

i get that i download AiA, and Taviana , but what about Dll and config settings?

followed your website instructions, i get this error when i enable the stuff you wanted me to download:

 

Addon 'tavi' requires addon 'ori_traderbase' 

 

and i had to remove @emod02 and @mas1.4 (files needed to player other overpoch servers) seems like a hassle and alot of wokr, do you get alot of players on your server?
