Love the sound of this system!

 

Just a quick question tho, can someone tell me currently what features are in the system? as we installed it to our server, but we are no too sure if it is working :S

 

We get the notifications saying AI are in "Sofia" (for example) if you have a radio, but im not sure if thats this system or default in Epoch (?)

Okay nice one. Any chance of providing the code and were to add sed code so that it adds a marker on map to indicate what town has been invaded? Also I think that setting it so that when the town is "liberated" it tells all players with a radio instead of only the one that killed the last AI.

 

Just suggestion/request.

 

But all in all this is looking very promissing man, keep up the work

Why not just remove it? The UI of A3 Epoch is so clean why clutter it with that horrible bar. I've removed all persistent UI items, even the crosshair, the screen is completely clean until you interact with something or open your inventory and as a result we have really good frame rates. Surely people aren't that stupid that they need the pIX bar and can't turn on debug?

Mhm is this a dead project? We noticed a lot of bugs, especially when there are a lot of players online and more and more missions are done... sometimes they just stop spawning.

The Code isnt so easy to read... think i have to try another mission system. Mehhh, liked this one alot for its simplicity.

I wouldn't say that. VEMF was released around a month ago and http://epochmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/29830-vemf-vampires-epoch-mission-framework/?p=205699 is clearly not finished.

In VEMF's mission folder, find a file labeled "DynamicTownInvasion.sqf" and search for the following line:

 

[_crate] call VEMFLoadLoot;

 

Replace the line above with the following lines (editing whatever items you want, and quantities):

There's your problem. epoch_centerMarkerPosition is undefined which should be defined by default in Epoch. I think it's defined in the mission.sqm, but I'm not entirely sure right now. I don't have the code open in front of me atm.

This is not a dead project. I've become pretty busy with my full time job, and I have two other real life projects I've been working on for friends and family.

I'm also kind of hoping that the next Epoch update releases soon to see more info on the new Epoch Mission update that Axeman has been working on to see how that will coincide with VEMF.

I don't have the free time to code up a hotfix very fast if I did release the next update just for it to be totaled by the next Epoch update, so I want to try to minimize any issues ahead of time if I can.

 

There will be a new video up on my channel this weekend.

Been using this mission for some time now and its nice, but the crate after the town is "liberated" is a (pardon my french) PAIN IN THE ASS to find sometimes :P Is it a way to set a smoke that pops when crate lands or a marker where the crate lands? Im not suggesting Map marker for the whole mission, as i see the Dev doesnt like that(for filter reasons), but a simple little marker for the crate cant cause too much trouble can it? Atleast a colorful smoke, if marker is too much work for both Dev and users (filters again)

 

But all in all, great mission!

If you're using the default mission that comes with the framework, put your cursor on the first letter of the town name and you'll find it every time  :)

Nothing happens when i put my cursor over the first letter, also the crate jumps up and down very often and dissapears. It has happend many times in a row that i have seen.

Well we've used the default mission on several servers and crate location is always at the first letter of the town name on the map. Shift and left click on the first letter on the map to set a waypoint and we find the crate every time. Not sure why it's not there for you unless the mission has been modified.
