Flosstradamus
I reinstalled my arma 2 and updated to the latest patch 124502. I can launch the game fine without BE but when I go to launch it normally for the first time I get this error message and the game won't start. Any idea? Possibly BE is down ? I even ran arma2oa_be as administrator still didn't work. BE is installed though so im confused.

icomrade
Turn your Antivirus off and try again through steam. If not go to your ArmA OA directory and run ArmA2OA_BE.exe directly as admin.

Also my firewall has been off for over 5 years. I ran arma2oa_be.exe as admin and still same issue.
Flosstradamus
I fixed it. I had to use File Assassin to force delete my BEservice.exe from the Common Files folder. Now it installed succesfully.

I haven't had a virus in maybe 15 years? Plus I work on computers all day I know what to not click or DL.

Download File Assassin and then you will need to add C:\Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Battleye to the folder you want to be deleted via File Assassin and just make sure you check off delete file. Then it should delete the file and you double click Arma 2: OA on steam and it will pop up the command prompt saying that battleye installed succesfully. If it doesn't work then it might have something to do with your permissions via administrator access on your computer.
