Quick question for all your SQL gurus out there. What are the benefits to updating your database when you do a code update for the game? Is there any compelling reason to upgrade? Also, I know I can restore individual tables after a database backup and upgrade, but what if the table format has changed or some of the values no longer use the same syntax after the update? What's the best way to make sure that I don't have to start over with my character and object tables? I'm trying to plan for the next Epoch update and these are the two questions that are bugging my OCD. Any guidance is much appreciated!
