    So I had started doing a survival journal awhile back and since then lost all my journal stories that I had wrote up (my fault for not backing it up). And it seemed to get a good audience: http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/134684-morning-dew/#entry1311430 has two of the 5 that I had wrote up but the other 3 were on my blog and I ended up removing it.   Anyways I decided that I would start it up again but in a different story theme this time. I'm a little bit rusty but the more I write the further the story will develop and it will become better with more extensive details etc. If you like it please let me know and I will continue releasing more to the story.   ~ AVendettaForYou __________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________   Waking up I realize that today will be my last, my rations have been exhausted my castle has been brought down to nothing but one last inner perimeter wall, these monsters have been here for over a month now slowly breaking down each wall one by one, and the other monsters have been waiting for me to succumb to this post apocalyptic world, I can hear the radio chatter every day. It won't be much longer until this is over for me I pray for the moment to hear that last wall crashing down and the gut wrenching groans and ear piercing screams spiraling up the tower towards me....   5 weeks earlier....   I was slowly making my way through the highly infested town Sabina in Taviana, trying to gather more supplies for base, everything had been dead for the past few days no signs of people coming in or out, I was absolutely positive after spending 4 days camped up on Khlumek, almost freezing to death. Apparently today was the day for my assumptions to be proven wrong, as I'm checking the 2nd floor of the mall I hear a distant roar of a vehicle followed by another, my heart drops as I hear it pulling into the center of town not 100 meters away from me, I lay down and move towards the windows just enough to view the two incoming Ural's, six people jump out and start firing their weapons for no reason, was this a warning for anyone in the city to get out? Or was it just to show brute force that they did not care if they live or die? Rotters start pouring out of the alleys and buildings into the town center. This is my time to get out, I start sprinting out the front of the building away from them when I hear a bullet fly by my head, heart racing and adrenaline pumping, I duck behind the nearest building and start running even faster, I've came too far for this to be the end of me. After making another turn I'm confronted by a group of rotter's who let out an ear shattering scream...

    I had to make this secondary account as there seems to be a bug in the forums somewhere.
    I can no longer browse the forums on my main account (user: Daefera). 
    Every click I make I get the following message: 
    Sorry, you don't have permission for that! So my brilliant guess is... There must be something wrong... I tried removing cookies, cache etc. But every browser I log in to, I get the same message.
    I tried Firefox, Chrome en even IE  :unsure:
     
    I could not even resend a confirmation email or contact anyone because... Sorry, you don't have permission for that!
     
    Hope you can fix this.

    Anyone else here offered a certain someone on here asking for an Epoch server to join, a place on your server and then had them send you a long snotty nosed ill-informed uneducated reply full of bullshit about lag related features connected with your server, like animated heli crashes and "a butt load of other scripts".  My server runs at 45-50fps with half load, with all my scripts running and this upstart who obviously has a stick up his arse replies to my offer telling me before he's even tried my server, that my server does not meet his very high standards, for many reasons but mostly that all my scripts WILL cause massive lag (he talks like he's the wizzard of dayz or something), not to mention that animated heli crashes cause massive lag too you know (fact, apparently).. He goes on to mention that having bandit camps at NE and Skali makes it difficult for others to build bases (wtf?) and that my 30+ bandit missions are laggy and make it difficult for base building or something, I lost interest after 2 paragraphs of him slagging off my efforts.  
     
    He ends his message by saying "I'll keep searching"..
     
    Yeah, good...
     
    *$&£~@:"$%! hate people like that.. Makes me 3 times as grumpy than normal..  
     
    I don't care what people say, every server owner I know works bloody hard to keep the lag issues down, not to mention even harder to keep their players happy.  So, MR Lag-Be-Gone , if you're so ****** knowledgeable on this shit, build your own server and join that..

    same as my mission system title text they work ok ??? any help plz cause the hints interfere with my debug meaning people cant see the hints and i dont want a toggle able  debug

    Sometimes when I join certain servers it tells me I'm missing a file called: gnt_c185. I press Continue but it stops at authenticating.
    I use six launcher with the mods: Epoch and the panthera map. (It runs on the map Panthera)

    I'm trying to setup a new server using Panthera, however I have issues with the keys. I can join it fine with the verifysignatures set to 0 , however when set at 2 it says I'm missing keys. I've copied the keys from the client download to my server\keys folder with no resolve. Any help would be appreciated.

    AI have 600m detect range Reduced accuracy (highly inaccurate beyond 300m) Reduced aim speed Increased commanding and courage Increased response time Lower dynamic spawn numbers No vehicle patrols No helicopter patrols  
    Replace your SAR_config.sqf and SAR_cfg_grps_chernarus.sqf in your mission PBO with the ones provided in the release files to take advantage of these features.

    Unpack your mission PBO file using PBO Manager into a folder
    Copy the debug folder from the EMS download to the root of your mission folder
    Edit your init.sqf file
    At the very end of you init.sqf file paste the following block of code:

    I want to look into how to make the traders look different by adding/removing buildings. I noticed on some servers their trader cities look completely different than mine. Does anyone know how to do and if there is any already made trader cities? Any help would be helpful and thank you.

    Hi,
     
    spent hours yesterday trying to get the epoch 1.0.1.5 to work (at the start using dayz commander, then tried to manually download it from this site),
     
    the one i got from dayz commander kept giving me the same error in the lobby- missing ASC_EU_Lights and multiple attemts to add that addon proved fruitless(in fact nearly screwed up my arma2 to the point where i'd need to re-instal, thanks god managed to fix it back)
     
    Either way- couldnt manually download 1.0.1.5 from here yesterday and when Ive seen the 1.0.2 up today and all excited tried to download it- same result. Clicked to download and could see that it tries to download it but nothing happens.
     
    Any ideas?

    Okay so basicly as far as I know it seems vehicles spawn before Building parts for example. I made a tower of floors and landed a heli. Then On restart the vehicle would fall because the floor has not spawned yet. This is also the issue for aircraft Carriers. 
     
     
     
    To fix it You can hop on our ts and ill help you which is ts1.fpsplayers.com:9988   and ask for mangos
     
     
    Or you can go through this which might be difficult because im terrible at explaining things
     
     
    at line 248 in your dayz server pbo in dayz_server\system open the file called Server_monitor.sqf
     
     
    Find this

    Hello,
     
    I installed a dayz epoch server recently and it was working however it is now not working and stuck on wait for host. I found in the .rpt file an error:
    Obsolete class Animations defined in bin\config.bin/RscCompass/
    Obsolete class Animations defined in bin\config.bin/RscWatch/
     
    I am unsure of if this is causing the server to not start, also I cannot figure out how to fix this problem. The server is unmodded and I tried reinstalling a new server in a different directory and it still is not working and giving the same error. If any other diagnostic files, etc are required just let me know and I can post them here.
     
    I found very little literature on how to solve this problem, however I seen several people have had this problem. perhaps I can also get a reason, if it is know, what this problem actually is, aside from being obsolete files.

    Hello Folks,
     
    I need really your help, we tried a lot of things, it is not like that, that I installed our server and ask directly for help, but now I need you help.

    Server is running well when we got up to ~14 players, when we got 15+ player, the FPS starting to decrease constantly, also when the number of players decrease. What I saw is, every x minutes, the load on the 2 core where Dayz is running are droping to nerly zero and the load on the other cores are getting higher, at the same time I can see in the task manager, that mysql getting load from about nothing to a high load, at the same time we have only ~3FPS and massive desync.

    I did search weeks now to solve the problem, it was not so acute because the server was not so popular, but now we are getting mor player every day, we started the whitelist to slow down the increasing of player number :(.

    Here is one of our basic.cfg , we tryed really a lot of different setting:
     
     
    First we tried xamp, 2 days ago we installed mysql by hand, here the last my.ini:
     
     
     
    Our Hardware:
     
    The Network is 100Mbit, we got with 20-25 ~5Mbit on it.

    We are running Tavian 2.0, the most folder "ArmA 2 OA" are on a ramdrive, so that the HD can not be an issue on that side. I can see that the HD where mysql is running, is on a little load and the disk queue is ~0.00-0.05 , that is not really much.  Right now I could see it again, we have now 4 player, Arma is running on CPU0 and CPU2, you can see the load on the picture, at the red line mysql getting load and Arma going down.

    I need really your help, that is driving me crasy!
