Does anyone else experience massive server desync / lag when this is turned on? (when the server switches from day to night and lights activate)

If you want to just disable side chat VON, you will need to disable side chat all together (text as well) inside the mission description file.
It's all or none or get a custom script that kicks people who use VON in side.

within your config.cfg for your server (not the mission file, but the file where you have your admin password / server name / player limit / ect) look for this line
disableVoN = 0; // If set to 1, Voice over Net will not be available
and change it to
disableVoN = 1; // If set to 1, Voice over Net will not be available

They made quite a few changes to how safes work in the next patch. Really the only way to know if it worked is to test it live.

Perhaps unrelated, the dynamic spawner is also punting vehicles in the air with some helicopters clipping into the ground and some vehicles floating off the slopes.
Haven't had that issue on our vanilla servers. (or at-least reported)

Damn.. =/ can't remove the safezones though that way i'd lose a lot of players
Guess I'll disable the deathmessages as well at least that way they wont realize it so quickly :D
I've actually gotten alot of positive feedback from removing the death messages. People seem to like the added challenge.

Same I just noticed it today. I'm disabling the kill messages on my server and just telling people to go to the death board.
It is 100% to do with the safe zones though.

I think a Grammar Nazi would just kill you if you used the wrong word, not correct you. More like a grammar teacher, I believe it's not just people from non-english speaking countries. I see plenty of red blooded americans that use "Loose" instead of "Lose". It's really prevalent in gaming circles.

"loose" humanity.... why do gamers have such a hard time with the word "lose"? "loose" humanity would be humanity that isn't tight.
Most likely because his primary language is not English. If you would look at his posts instead of being a "grammar nazi" about them, you will see he has a .se website and from that it is safe to assume that he is most likely Swedish.
Remember, not everyone on the internet is from a English as a first language country.

Turn off your safe zones or use this script instead of the one you are using:

I've gotten reports of the medical Vodnik spawning in weird at Bash. The Vodnik seems to like to spawn pointing up like a rocket then go launching. (only reported once and I can't seem to find the image on our forums anymore)

Thanks, going to try it again sometime but this time fine tweak the guy that was recording's video settings to avoid head bobbing etc. Those trees were really annoying though
Actually, I liked that effect alot. It gave the timelapse character.
