Linux: redis using socket in epochserver.ini?

Hi folks,

 

reading some redis performance tweaking guides and some testes I found that using the unix socked for a redis connection instead of a local tcp connection provides a performance plus of roundabout 25-30%.

 

It looks like the libhiredis.so does not support unix sockets. Is there any plan to implement a solution enabling the unix socket connection like the native redis client haves?

Added to the github for review with the guys, I do not see any issues with adding unix socket support so it should be added in the next update or so.

i checked the github for the server files (https://github.com/EpochModTeam/Epoch/tree/master/Server_Install_Pack) and did not find any related suggestion to implement sockets. Did you miss that and should I post a feature request?
