Dedicated Server from Scratch Installed some Help Please

Hello Community.

 

Well Today we Setup our own Epoch Dedicated Server,

 

Everything is Running Fine but there a some small Questions.

 

1.Question:

 

How can i do it that my Bec is starting with the server?

 

at the moment i have to start the bec.exe then the startup.bat that is starting the redis & Server.

 

Can i start bec with my startbat config?Iam sorry for this question i will not ask much becouse learning by doing errors is the best way for me to learn.

But iam stuck on this now.

 

2.Question:

 

Whats the best easy Tool (iam new with Dedi) to manage the Redis-Db

 

I will only manage with this tool the Vehicle & Trader Items & Backups.

 

I have see of course the Tools Section here but i ask me if anyone have a good tip for a Beginner like me?

We use FireDaemon for our restarts, use your Bec shedular to shutdown the server, FD then notices the service has stopped and restarts, this happens every 4 hours each day and never fails.

For your backups you can use the included script within the Epoch server files, use a windows task scheduler or Bec to execute the backup.cmd

for any reason i dont get Bec to run?

 

I start Bec.exe then its saying "waiting for Server startup" after some time its closing.

 

Can anyone assist me here?

 

I dont know whats wrong with Bec but its not starting with the server.

I added only this to my beservercfg:

RConPassword xxxxxxxxx
MaxPing 250
Bec.Ip "the IP"
Bec.Port 2302

have i to modify anything other?

The guy who created Bec had a tantrum over servers making money, you can read more elsewhere but to get Bec working you have to edit your hosts file.

Add the following :

 

127.0.0.1 www.ibattle.org
127.0.0.1 ibattle.org

that fixed my Issue...............

 

Well Richie iam new and i have to ask this i hope this is ok.

 

So i started now the Server with BEC and its working but!!!

 

I notice now some lags that didnt was before without BEC?

 

I will watch this now more but is this a Issue from BEC or did i make something wrong?

 

Iam checking Firedamon now,

 

I have my sheduler.xml 3 Hours Restart

the file ends now with:

    <job id="24">
    <start>030000</start>
    <runtime>000000</runtime>
    <day>1,2,3,4,5,6,7</day>
    <loop>0</loop>
    <cmd>#shutdown</cmd>
    <cmdtype>0</cmdtype>
    </job>

now i have to check how this works that the server restart and starting the server with bec & redis & Server

Remove <cmdtype>0</cmdtype> as it is no longer supported.

 

If you want a copy of my scheduler that works just download from My Dropbox and edit to suit.

Check my restart times though, mine is 4hrs 15mins
