Flybynight
So if I understand this correctly, the traders have only what is manually loaded into them. From that point on, once they are out of loot, that's it until they are manually resupplied and/or other players sell to them. I'm surprised that can't be adjusted in some fashion like the overall level of loot that spawns throughout the game. Almost like the trader always will stock back up on what is sold. Is this something that would unbalance the game?
KPABATOK
My humble opinion it would be not very interesting if you can buy whatever you want whenever you want. Current system forces people to interact, trade between themselves and search loot. I like to see peple selling to traders stuff that I need the most, and then I think to myself "who these idiots are", hehe. Creature
While I don't think it should be like Dayz Epoch (the stock at those traders was a bit silly imo), it would be interesting to see how gameplay would be if the traders had a small stock of random items where no 2 traders spawned with exactly the same stock. That could make players want to visit some of the more distant traders to see what they had. It would also increase your chances of being able to "buy" that random item you spent days looking for without luck. I've noticed that, in the short time I've been running my server, almost no one will sell the rare more sought after loot/vehicles. The traders end up full of all the things you find constantly. I don't know all the future plans for A3 Epoch, but as it stands right now, there is no need for currency.
KPABATOK
Now that I am thinking, I think it could be done like, after each restart each trader is updated with few rare or just random items to sell (excluding stuff that is sold to them by players) and then after each restart old stuff that was introduced gets deleted (if nobody bough it) and it generates some new items, chosen randomly, from building materials, multiguns, energy, food, lynx ammo etc.
Brez
I agree with Creature. After players play for a while they realize hard to find items are never for sale at a trader so accumulating the funds becomes less desirable. Everything else is somewhat common so why go buy it when you can find it. The mod seems to be going into an unstructured direction. Go to a hospital to find a weapon Got to a construction to find medical supplies Go to a grocery store to find building material Seems a bit wonky and somewhat unrealistic
