Great Tutorials!(thanks Suppe for linking) These are what I have been using

Creating the P: Drive:

After Downloading The tools from Steam for Arma3(if you own Arma3 you can DL the tools) you "play" the tools from Steam.  There is a button called DevP.

FuturaToP

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDjPzSuI8Vo#t=350

1 - Read FuturaToP.txt (P:)

2 - Download and install what is listed there, Also grab DeOGG or you get an error

3 - Double click FuturaToP.bat

 - 3a type "yes"

 - 3b "Do you want to Proceed?"   "Y"

 - MUST SAY "Success" at the end

Oh look it's a map section, oh look people throwing out tips and shit, where'd this come from? lol  I'll have to compile all the tutorials and helpful links that I've come across.  I started making a map a couple weeks ago, I'm still tinkering with the heightfield and I still have a bit of work to do with the texture map, but I'm hoping for the best.

I'll have to see if someone can swap my thread over to this forum, if its proper.

Thanks Wesley for helping out the community, Epoch needs some tailored terrain and diversity to fit its needs.

Sorry Corky, this is everything I have bookmarked right now, it might be a little cluttered because I've been bookmarking anything I thought might be useful lol:

The tools I grabbed were:

ArmA3p.1.15.4.79.Installer

DeOgg.1.00.4.55.Installer

DePbo.4.90.0.11.Installer

DeRap.1.74.4.60.Installer

ExtractPbo.2.11.4.81.Installer

pboProject.1.36.4.79.Installer

This guy here was super helpful, he's part of the team that works on Sahrani:

In this really helpful tutorial, he explained everything from the beginning

Part 1 start for example with Installing the Tools.

I post only part 1, from then on you can look even further.

ok, the tut from sahrani guy looks good to :D

Thanks, Suppe, I think this video will help a bunch.  I searched for days for something like this and couldn't find much.

Anyone know if there is a listing of Arma 3 building dimensions somewhere?  I'm just trying to make sure I'm leaving enough room in places for the placement of some houses and such, working with limited space with drop-offs, etc.  I've just been loading up the editor, putting a marker at one side of a building and standing on the other lol.  I mean, it works I guess, just wondering if I'm doing it the hard way. =P

why not just place them in terrain builder, then move around with buldozer, then delete them when you're done using them.

Noted. I haven't used the bi tools yet, I'm still dinking around with L3DT. I've gotten a rough figure on most of the buildings using the editor though, the houses are all under 20m I think, so that helps.
