Updating to New Version

I recently installed server files 1.0.2.4 within the past couple weeks.  I noticed 1.0.2.5 has come out.  How would I go about updating to the new version without it affecting my existing players?  Can I just copy the new files over (minus my config file) and restart the server?

You also want to run the SQL file again. It will only touch traders and object names, it will leave your player DB intact.

 

And yes, keep your hiveext.ini, config.cfg (change version to 1025 in that), etc from the old version, or re-edit the settings.

 

So : replace all but cfg files, run the SQL, good to go.

1. Stop your server and delete the @Dayz_Epoch folder then upload the newest version.
2. Upload latest dayz_server.pbo to the @Dayz_Epoch_Server/addons folder.
3. Open your current init.sqf from the mpmission folder normally "DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus" and get dayZ_instance. Update all of the files in the mpmission folder. Lastly ensure that you edit init.sqf again to make the dayZ_instance the same as it was before.
4. Backup your database. 
5. Execute the epoch.sql against your database using phpmyadmin or navicat, etc.
6. Update your server name in the config.cfg to show 1.0.2.5.
7. Start server.
