XISANGRY
So, I recently switched from a NVIDIA GTX 660 Superclocked, to a ATI Radeon 6990 that a buddy gave me. I cleaned all drivers in safe mode before installing the ATI card and drivers. I have an issue now in game that I was wondering if anyone else has ever experienced. When I bring my map up for the first time, it slowly paints until the map fully loads. Could take a minute or so.. Once the map finishes loading I never have the issue again when bringing up the map. Was hoping someone may have an idea... I ran a health check on my SSD, and that came back OK - so not sure what else it could be... ASUS M5A99X EVO FX-8150 Radeon 6990 16GB RAM Appreciate any help or insight that anyone may be able to provide. Thanks, X =rTr=
Mondialo2k
+1 on occasion. i5 3570k, 3GB 7970, 8Gb, Win7, and Epoch on SSD.
Nic
Probably because it is the first time it has to load all of the textures and map files, etc. Happens to me too. I'd say it is an Arma 3 thing, not an Epoch thing. Dafteris
XISANGRY
Thanks for the feedback. I don't remember this happening with my nvidia card, so figured I would ask. Glad to know I am not alone. Axle
cring0
o_O Yeah, I have the GTX 660, don't recall that ever happening to me. I used to rock only AMD/ATI until a couple years ago when my 4870 went to the fiery pits of hell and Arma 2 performed like sh!t on my Phenom II. Driver issue? I think ATI does everything strictly through Catalyst now, correct?
Mr. G
It happens to me too all quite often... or all the time. I didn't bother because I thought it was normal. Not a big problem anyway. Today I'll probably upgrade my PC. I'll check if it does the same with my new stuff :)
NorthyPark
I might be because arma 3 is more optimized for Nvidia than for AMD
