Some Traders not working 1.0.2.4

Question

I first had the issue where traders wouldn't load items before I rebuilt my PBO's from default, that issue was fixed but now on a few traders(not all) you can't access them, when you scroll on them they don't even display a name and of course theres no scroll menu for them

 

I have no check every trader but the majority of Bash traders don't work(weapon/ammo traders and Vehicle trader don't work), all the Klen traders work and the Airplane trader at NWAF works, the rest I have not tested yet

 

I thought it might be a database issue but I didn't want to wipe my database again as I just wiped it yesterday before the patch got released and players have already started rebuilding

 

Any Ideas?

 

Edit---

 

I have checked all traders and only ones that work are the 2 female traders at Bash, Hero trader, and the SW Kamenka Wholesaler the rest don't even show their name when scrolled on along with no scroll menu

I have spent multiple hours trying to figure it out and I feel like it is something simple that I am missing....I have wiped the database and nothing changed, however I do have 176 differnt entrances in the server_traders table with multiple entrances that resemble close to others

 

Help would much be appreciated as I am stumped

If you want your init to load a custom compiles make sure to take a .4 compiles and have your additions made to that instead of an old one. Same for the fn_selfactions or whatever you try to modify. Most of the Files changed with .4. Just take the new ones out of the pbo and merge them with your scripts. Shoul work that way.

 

Also delete your traders_data and re-import it via the recent SQL.

Well after 10+ hours of troubleshooting i found the problem with my server.  I am hosted through Vilayer and i used their updater to do the update on my chernaurus epoch server to 1.0.2.4.  Everythign went great, and vilayer is a bad ass company - but they fucked up and here is how:

 

my Server_traders.sqf was the one for the wrong map.  At the top of my server_traders.sqf it says this

 

// DayZ Epoch TRADERS for 17

 

Chernarus instance = 11, not 17.  So maybe you guys should give it a look and hope it helps you out! It was killing me!

My issue was with the DZAI, I just disabled it and am now using Sarge AI instead and it actually works better as my server is PVE with PVP weekends so the Sarge AI help players raise or lower their humanity to access the hero/bandit traders and become and Hero/ Bandit depending on their preference as DZAI only had Bandit AI so you could only lose or gain humanity but not both

I am also suffering here, Scripts work fine but when u select an item from the trade venders  i get the loading screen. I upgraded my server to .4 and extracted the DayZ_Epoch_11.Chernarus.pbo, Dayz_server.pbo, and Dayz_code.pbo, i rescripted them and uploaded to server and i still get the loading screen at venders. i would greatly appriciate any help possible. I havent tried to delete the trader data yet, but thats because ia m not sure how.. I use HFB servers.

We had this issue come up when we implemented side missions. The including of faction.sqf makes some traders "hostile" . We've set all traders to neutral in our DB (is announced for 1.025 anyways) but still get a weird glitch : sometimes you can't access a trader, but simply logging out and in near a trader fixes it. It's a PITA, but workaround for now.

You guys think SargeAI will make it better ?
