fr1nk
Does anyone know what this means? Trying to connect to a particular server and getting the below. Have tried verifying files, no errors in arma client log. I can connect to other servers fine.
Uro
The wait for host bit? Or the unconfigured motd? :D
fr1nk
The weird part on the bottom left :D While I was getting this, a couple of my friends could login fine to the server.
Uro
That's the default motd in the server.cfg/config.cfg // WELCOME MESSAGE ("message of the day") // It can be several lines, separated by comma // Empty messages "" will not be displayed at all but are only for increasing the interval motd[] = { "", "", "Two empty lines above for increasing interval", "Welcome to our server", "", "", "We are looking for fun - Join us Now !", "http://www.example.com", "One more empty line below for increasing interval", "" }; motdInterval = 5; // Time interval (in seconds) between each message Just edit the config.cfg to something more relative to the server :) It doesn't affect anything bar the text displayed in the bottom left when logging in... Wait for Host could be a ton of issues though.
fr1nk
Uro it's not my server :p I figured that was the default config, just confused why I was the only one getting that when my friends saw the proper server welcome messages and had no problem connecting. Uro
Then I dont know, because if it's not in the server.cfg then it shouldn't display the default. Got the correct IP/Port? :D Only thing I can think of is another server running on the same IP and thier port configuration is fucked up. :)
fr1nk
Yeah, could be a port/routing thing. May be something the server host needs to look at. In any case, thanks for the feedback :) Uro
TuBz
Fr1nk, Had this myself and PROPABLY on the same server:) It was always something wrong in my config files, usually when I'd come from another server first, check there website, if it's the one I think it might be they have suggested either dayzlauncher or a launch .bat file both work fine for me.. the batch file does need editing to your paths first but is easy peasy after that! Hope that helps...
fr1nk
I've tried everything I can think of, short of a complete reinstall. Really weird, I can connect everywhere else just fine. Guess I'll do the reinstall at some point. Thanks.
