First thanks for the video, but i think you doesn't have understand the snaping mode, because the foundation you build doesnt snap in the video :)
and all what i see is that you build a lot of the things in "free mode" instead of snapmode.
Try the same building in the right snapmode and it won't look like yours
Then the stairs, you says "perfect" i see the bouncing and not even fit perfect, and you use the false stairacse beause this one only for roofs (Suppe has told us that)
Answer one question:
How can your wall fall down on one side, after you bild an flat underground with foundations?
I actually upgraded those stairs because I'm planning on moving upwards with another floor. I wanted the stairs this way.
Yes I know they bounce and don't fit "perfect" in arma 2 snapping sense BUT I believe it is perfect for Arma 3 snapping mode.
As you can see, all of the parts were build with option 1 on my keyboard which is Snap.
I can't figure out how to place a foundation snapped to another one - can you tell me how?

Base Building Basics:

No workbench required. All you need is your items.
Some things you will need to craft by a fireplace (such as scrap metals). You can make a fireplace by chopping 2 wood piles down (each tree will give you 4 wood piles in total).
4 wood piles (1 tree) = 1 lumber
4 lumbers = 1 wood floor /OR\ 1 wood wall (which can be upgraded to full wall with x1 small scrap or door with x1 lumber).4 Mortars = 1 foundation (used when you're trying to build on shitty surface like I am right now).
Things to remember if you're trying to build a base:
Craft a shelve or a tent and hide it somewhere GOOD, Really good
Never sell Mortars or Scraps or Electronic components - they are vital!Search traders for some sold items. I always buy those straight away.

hehe funny the way other people imagine how items look :D I was surprised myself when I seen the jammer. Big ass thing.
BTW, you will not be able to find it. You need to craft it with:
2x Large Metal scraps
2x Electronic ComponentsLarge metal scraps are crafted from Small metal scraps (x2). You need x3 Small Metal Scraps to craft x1 Large Metal Scraps :blink:
That's a total of 18 scrap metals to build x2 Large Metal Scraps i believe ;o

lol the jammer is the size of eiffel tower :D

you can destroy both, the base and the jammer at the moment.
Best practice is to hide your jammer inside of the base.

I have build a frequency jammer outside my base before I started everything.
Once I finished the base I wanted to bring it inside so no one can destroy it easily.
I found that I cannot move the Jammer in any way.
Is that issue noted down for fix or is it supposed to be this way? -
It maintains all the items to 0 days.
So let's say when your objects are 7 days old and you maintain, it goes from 7 to 0If you exceed the 7 days (or whatever the server is set to) the objects will get removed.

My friend has set up a group for us. I have build the base with the Jammer.
Only myself can unlock the door.
Seems like only the people who are group owners AND base owners can allow others to use locks.That could be addressed in the upcoming patches.

OK OK in regards to building and "PhysiX"...
I like the way the game is intelligent and will not let you build in the air
BUT
FOR F**K SAKE, if I get my "PhysiX" right, can it at least snap straight to the piece beside it so there are no gaps??It really pissed me off yesterday that I had to strip half of my base just to get a wall closer to the other wall - this turned out impossible because the foundation wouldn't fit correctly.
Snapping is shit now. It was perfect in the A2 mod
If you just include the A2 snapping mode in your "PhysiX" it would be great. Right now I'm feeling like i'm moving back in time to the beginning of time and I'm afraid that other servers will start modding the scripts to enable A2 building mode - I would like to see the original Epoch Mod do this before others do it... and call it ZombieEpochOverOrigins2017Royale SHIT

And if you cancel it should repack into your inventory. It would be great if you could repack any buildable that was not in range of a Frequency Jammer.
+1 for the repacking buildings.
Maybe at least moving them as they are without the possibility to repack (to make it more realistic) and chance to destroy the item when trying to move or something...

Yes that's right and with community help like this they will implement it if it makes sense.

Most of all:
We need an option to cancel the build!!!Why is there no way of canceling the placing of items?
Let's say you start placing a lovely floor and you hear some vehicle approaching you, you gotta shit yourself and place the floor fast to defend yourself instead of just one simple cancel click like we had in Arma 2....
That should be the main focus as it's ruining everything -

It's a great idea. 100 is fine for now for the beginner servers as people are probably not so much aware of this function.
In like 6 months you could easily bring that to 500 or more -

Banks should be spawned across the map and should not be protected in any way. Then there is a risk! Risk of somebody shooting your back

Hmm not sure, the foundation just wouldn't snap for me. It seems to be working great in the video.
Can you translate and explain what he is saying? I will try he's method later.
