A lot of folks are bitching about the food issue and the rates of hunger and thirst.
 
For starters, let me say, if you're one of those still sucking on the Similac that likes to troll a conversation just to bitch about people bitching as if it's invalid to bring these creative problems to light in a discussion forum about the mod, feedback for the mod and to speculate about better ideas for the mod, either go back to mommy for another bottle or tit, and stay out of this discussion.  Shhh, this is for the grown ups!
 
So, I like the direction the builders have taken with respect to food but I agree, like a lot of you, that the balance isn't correct.  Hey, it's still in dev right!  Yes.  But it ain't any less STUPID!
 
The RATE at which you need to consume is obviously WAY OFF.  There must have been a router down in the greymatter on that one because the synapses were just not firing right! 
 
I'll leave others to talk about the RATE itself, the first piece of advice I have is that once you run OUT of food, (and some of this MAY depend on how long you've been alive in the game and how high your stamina has gotten) but, at 4.7 hours, my guy hit 0 food and could then only RUN 100m! 
 
Ok, that's idiotic!  So there are some balancing issues to look at here DEVS.  Do some real-world research, don't pull all this out of your o-ring! 
 
But the being able to hunt for food in the game is a nice little addition, it's realistic, it get's people out into the countryside, and it has a fun strategic side-effect.  Do I spend my time rummaging thru old houses in the HOPES for left over food that someone missed, OR do I RUN my ass off over the country HOPING I run into a goat?  :)  Problem is, at the current level of IMBALANCE you spend too much trying to FIND, only to eat and almost have to go looking for food again.
 
One problem is, there is almost NO wildlife! 
 
Generally, a hen lays 100 eggs a year, fertility is pretty high about 85% but hatchability is only about 55-60%, still, there are NO natural predators in the world right, so there should be chickens everywhere.  Ya know, since BEFORE the SHTF there were many farms and breeders, etc.  Just taking a cursory look at Chicken production, the Hawaiian city of Kapa'a has a population of nearly 10,000 WILD chickens.  I think at 22 km^2 greek-like island would have TONS! 
 
In fact, the chickens you find in this MOD are LESS than you'd normally see in the game.  I remember before playing Epoch running into TONS more Rabbit and Chicken.  Now, I'm fighting just to stay alive because the wildlife representation is so bad!
 
And don't get me started on the Goat's and Sheep.... WTF?  They'd be EVERYWHERE by now! 
 
And why can't I eat DOG!  You would, you pussies!
 
And, as ugly as it sounds, why can't I eat people?  *barf*
 
 
Lastly,
The prospect that you get a SKIN OR a HUNK OF MEAT is just plain, NY style, lib-tard, asinine STUPID!
 
My kids and I keep our freezer stocked with so much meat that we've not bought burger meat at the grocery store in 5 years!  And I've NEVER skinned a deer or hog and only gotten the hide OR the meat! D'oh!  Time for more Enfamil?
 
And WHAT ABOUT THE DEER?

Tipis?  Really?  Who's idiotic idea was that?  It's 2035, we're running around with GPS, UAV's, Modern firearms, there are a bazillion shipping containers littering the landscape and the BEST I can do is built a 10 foot tall, ass-cone to store gear and take shelter?  I mean really, the technological age somehow limits us from having the sense to build a small crate, box or storage/supply object?

Ok... just thought of something on this that IS MoD related...  when the UAV spawns, it spawns near and initially moves OVER the SHOOTER! 
 
What are these GODS that know from where came the bullet? !!
 
What SHOULD happen is the UAV moves over the TRADER and begins to scan and over fly THAT area...  Thus, it becomes even a more realistic and enjoyable tactic, when you catch someone AT the trader to have the CHOICE to kill the trader and set off the UAV on the folks AT the trader!

So, I got kicked today for killing a trader.  Maybe more than one.

Look, if the DEVS want to make traders un-killable fine, THEN MAKE THEM ALL UN-KILLABLE!  I know from experience, the traders on the spawn island are, at least with guns!  WTF?
 
But in a more broad sense, what is with you narcissistic, brownshirted, NAZI retards that you have to create, in effect, PAPER RULES on top of whatever the fuck the game allows you to do. 
 
I know I'm older that most of you, obamacare-extended, pre-pubescent, punks but jeeze, I can't believe ya'll can be THAT STUPID and narcissistic.
 
For example, a lot of other servers run by the same sort of children have NAZI admins running around POLICING the game for teamkillers.  What these daddy's-boys don't seem to comprehend, is that THEY MAKE THE PROBLEM AND THE GAME WORSE for everyone.  So it must be some Barney-the-dinosaur instilled child, god-complex and Mommy touched you inappropriately all the while telling you how smart and great you are! 
 
Has ALL CRITICAL-THINKING been eliminated from government schools?  C'mon at least TRY!
 
So, in general, POLICE SUCK!  I know I digress but it's important to set the foundation.  They DO NOT MAKE US SAFER!  The Norman Rockwellian image of the nice Po-liceman patting the little boy on the head, is bullshit!  It's INDOCTRINATION!   Look that word up Admins!  What you think and know of the POLICE is all propaganda over decades and the concept of POLICE has changed from historically being a reactionary, social asset into being a proactive, government asset.  The government Police force has done more in the last 100 yrs to strip us of our independence, our sense of community, responsibility and consequence.  Now I know this type of talk is way over the heads of many of you girly-boys, so just remember, the lips are for daddy, this conversation is for adults.
 
THE POINT is, stop this NAZI bullshit, if you can do it in the game, just let it go.  THAT'S the only way to keep the playing field absolutely fair, understandable and honest.  Now, there is a role for a referee, if you will.  You can call him an "admin" if you're really that narcissistic.  But, for all you children out there,
 
I'm NOT advocating cheating!
I'm NOT saying don't ever deal with people obviously griefing and being obnoxious!
 
But, just like POLICE, the morons who actually shoot the WRONG person TWICE as often as citizens do (ya know, because they're butting in) the players are in the best position to handle twats that are team killing and causing real problems in the game! 
 
But to DISALLOW killing traders, especially when they're still KILLABLE!  Well, whoever's responsible for that aspect of this MOD is a simpleton and should be smacked!  I left off the reproduction part this time only because you're probably not at risk for that anyway!
