  2. Ok, i have tried this script out, i have added it to the server, but no welcome messages show up, no sounds show, and not a single error coming up in the logs, i have added the BE scripts, so we dont get kicked, it just does not work at all

  3. Hey all,

     

    So here is the problem

     

    Running Overpoch, on a Vilayer server. Have an issue where items are not updating in the database. Some examples:

     

    1. Vehicles moved during a server session will rubber band back to where they were originally after a server reset, bought vehicles appear back at the traders, locations and inventories do not update in the database at all during a session.

     

    2. Items placed any kind of inventory during a server session will disappear after a server reset except the players inventory.

     

    3. Vehicles repaired or damaged during a server session will revert back to their prior condition after a server reset.

     

    4: i have the had the SQL database open while placing a safe and the safe itself appears in the database but no items appear in the database (database auto refresh every 5 sec, waited 45mins)

     

    5. Also getting that stupid load screen glitch every time the server restarts (hear everything but load screen stays up)

     

    I have wiped the server and reinstalled everything twice already

     

    Any help or ideas of where to look and what to look for would be greatly appreciated.

  4. You can also run sql events to set the current state to []?

     

    an sql even in my knowledge would only run as often as you set it, (ie: every 2 hours) but in that case you may as well just restart every 2 hours

     

     

    Like the above, if I have an established player, if I respawn I will get caught on the loading screen and hear ingame sounds.

    If I kill myself in game then fresh spawn, I spawn in correctly every time, tested 8 times with no issues.

     

    Some tests

     

    Killing character ingame - successful respawn

    Delete current character from DB - successful respawn

    Log to lobby, delete currentstate in database - stuck on loading

    Log to lobby, set currentstate to [] - successful respawn

     

    Results, setting currentstate to [] results in successful respawn everytime, so will try and modify either server_playersync to set current state to [] or when server_onPlayerDisconnect is called and report back

    Initially testing modifying the playerspawn by moving to the mission file and setting currentstate to [] in the fsm file - result - this on it's own didn't work

     

    Now testing server player sync in the server file by setting _currentstate to []

    Log to lobby, delete currentstate in database - stuck on loading

  5. the error is caused by the Character_data in the database, the column "current state" that would usually have something like "   ["MakarovSD","amovpercmrunsraswpstdf",41,[]]   " in it

    what it is doing is changing this so that it removes the weapon, so that the code will look like "   ["","aidlpercmstpslowwrfldnon_player_idlesteady04",100,[]]   " the only way i have found to fix it is to copy a current state of another player in the server, and then find their current weapon and place it back in, and then, they are able to log back into the server with no problems (works about 75% of the time)

     

     

    so, i guess what we need to do is find something that changes the current state of the player on logging out/in and remove it

     

    the other way i have found to fix this is.....

     

    do not log out normally,  ALT + F4

     

    that way it doesnt change anything and players can just log back in normally... although they must restart the game...

For our server i changed our admin tools to suit our own needs, and one of the main things i changed was making it so that while in god mode you could not shoot anyone, (just like if you walked into a safezone) you could shoot all you wanted, but all you would be doing is wasting your bullets

    using this solved the problem of getting into a fight with godmode on

  7. after death none of the players on our server can press ESC to Return to the lobby to rejoin the server, they must ALT + F4 and then reload the entire game to be able to start a new character

     

     

    is this new and place on purpose? if so is there a way to remove it?

  8. using Latest beta patch: 112555, the admin tools seem to go haywire, it takes sometimes up to 15 relogs for the tools to show up ingame, sometimes works on the first try, sometimes doesnt, we can also lose the tools when we die on occasion

    this was installed on a fresh server by myself and 2 other people on 3 different fresh installs, by following the instructions on the github

  9. are the crates confirmed working with public and private?

     

    also, would there be any way to add a shout message when an admin spawns a crate (sort of like a death message that flashes in the middle of everyones screen) so that everyone on the server is aware of an admin is spawning stuff in, also if it can be linked to the admin's name

     

    ie: Server Admin NoxSicarius has spawned in Admin Crate - All Weapons/Items

  10. just a thought, do not give the option to players to repack it, (add a warning saying that it cannot be repacked once deployed) then somehow do it like wasteland and make it so people can pick it up and move it (have to walk)

     

    you have already stated that is does not save past a restart, so why would they need to repack it anyway, it would also make people a little more wary to not just place a static gun all over the place and actually think about their actions

  11. mechati, in vilayers ACP control panel, go into the file manager, then to your master configuration folder, then the battleye folder and Upload all of those BE files that are included with the admin tools, then restart your server.

     

     

    this should fix your problem.

     

     

    (would also be a good idea to get yourself an FTP program as vilayers file manager is painfully slow)

  12. the Enhanced ESP tools are a little annoying to turn off, sometimes you have to turn on other parts of it to turn things off, ie, turn on tents, then try to turn it off, have to turn on plot poles as well and then turn them both off, also cannot seem to turn off the zombies

     

     

    i added this to the heal tool

                                    _unit setVariable["USEC_infected",false,true];
                                    _unit setVariable["medForceUpdate",true];

     

    now the heal tool seems to work for me and does not give a cough but any other admins that login it stops working and the players they heal get a cough, but if i heal them again it heals them completely

    2.) Heal Inop: The heal function is inoperable intermittingly while Admin Mode is activated. Turn Admin Mode off and able to heal players again.

     

    4.) Teleport bug: (I have tested this thoroughly but can not identify the conditions that cause it to happen.) Sometimes when teleporting a player to me, they appear in the ocean off the coast no matter where I am on the map. Its only intermittent but sometimes it happens, not sure why. Also sometimes using the Teleport To Player actually causes them to Teleport To Me. Not sure why on this either and is only intermittent.

     

     

    2:) I have not had this happen to me as of yet but the heal tool does seem to be limited by range, ie: you cannot set it to heal everyone on the map by setting the range to 100km or something (which would be nice) and is also affected by height so you cannot heal someone in a skybase, and you cannot heal anyone over water

     

    4: I have found the teleport somewhat bugged as well and have had this happen to me a few times, i have even had people teleported to me but not in the correct position and they appear inside of building and inside of rocks about 50m away and then they just die, the best remedy i have found is if you wish to teleport someone to you safely, then you must tp to them, then back to your original spot and then tp them to you,

     

    if this could be added to the tools so that when we tp people to us, it tp's us to them for a split second, saves our original spot, and then tp's us back and then tp's the player to us

     

     

    Also if anyone would like to have a heal self as well as the healing of others, (so you might just heal yourself and not everyone within 25m) them make a copy of healp.sqf, change the name to healself.sqf, and change the range to 1m then add this file back into the tools folder

     

    then add this to your AdminToolsMain.sqf

    under the part "Admin Menu" above or below your other heal tool
