  1. Hi everyone!

    So I have this little server, that runs just fine!

    Spawning vehicles is fast, booting the server up is fast ( you are not stuck at Waiting for Server to Start Authentication for long ), there is almost no desync in-game.

    Shortly, everything is running fine, except the Respawning Part. Mission file is pretty small ( 1400 kb ), and is fast to!

    But Receiving Data just takes very long... LIke 3-5 minutes, and I actually want this to be like 1-2 minutes...

     

    So, we got this server running on a PC at my friend's house ( let's start not about this, let's safe that for another time ;-) Yes, we are sure we want to run it from his PC )

    It's an unused PC, which only meaning now is running a DayZ Server.

    Specs:

     

    Intel Core i5 ( 2,6 GHz )

    6 GB DDR3 RAM

    500GB HDD 7200RPM
    Upload: 15+ Mbit ( took Speedtest )

    Download: 20+ Mbit ( also Speedtest )

     

    I looked via HeidiSQL at the database size, it's 6MB.

    That's not large at all, considering the amount of bases on our server.

     

    Now, I think Receiving Data is slow because of my Basic.cfg.

    I think it's not optimized.

    I have no idea how this works, I just followed this guide: ( http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/51542-psa-server-admins-how-to-optimize-your-dayz-server-for-maximum-performance/).

    Is the problem in this Basic.cfg? And so yes, what should I change? And if no, what's the cause then? And how can I solve this?

    Got some custom stuff installed ( Snap Build PRO, Trader Preview, Sarge Ai, DZAI and WAI, Refuel Stations, Indestructible Bases, Less Zombie Spawn ).
     
    If i create a Headless Client for Zombie and Loot spawn, does this also offload some server performance?

  2. Hi Everyone,

     

    Since very shortly, I noticed that when a person breaks his legs, he dies like 5-10 seconds after that.

    I did not notice this before, but my players are mentoining this to me.

     

    I did install some custom scripts, but how does breaking legs kill a person? :O

    MY RPT does not show anything about a killmesge, I have InfiSTAR installed.

     

    If anyone has a suggestion, that would be great :D

  3. Hi everyone :D

     

    So I just set that if you right click on your toolbox, you can deploy a Mi17 or a other vehicle, if you have the right equipment.

    I am using InfiSTAR and another admin menu, but I don't think the other admin menu is relevant.

    When I get into the vehicle, only SOMETIMES, I get killed by the server I guess... I tried setting everything in Infistar AHConfig.sqf on False, but this doesn't work neither.

    Tried removing some stuff in server_functions.sqf, doesn't work either.

    Help requested :)

  4. So you don't host a server yourself? You just want to play? Allright!

    You tried on different servers you said, and all the same issue?
     

    Have you tried completely deleting Arma 2 + Operation Arrowhead, and ALL mods?

    Then reïnstalling them, and doublechecking if they are the right version?

     

    Have you tried another launcher? For example, if you are using DayZ Commander, try DayZ Launcher, or something else.

     

    Hope I helped you a bit.

  5. I will do, but in the Arma 2 Main Menu, when I try to look for my server via Remote, it doesn't find anything... Really nothing, my server does not show up in Arma in-game browser, but does show-up with DayZ Commander... 

    I cleaned up my RPT and my HiveExt.log, my HiveExt.log is clear, no text in it.

     

    The Arma 2 Console window does not show anything, it does NOT show that a player tries to connect... This is really weird, never had this before...

    My RPT shows also nothing about a user connecting... Just the normal boot up.

  6. Hi everyone!

     

    So here's the case:

     

    The server ( DayZ Epoch 1.0.5.1 ) does show up in DayZ Commander, and has a normal ping, ect.

    But when we try to join the server, we get stuck on Wait for Host.

    When I Press Escape, go to Multiplayer, remote and enter 127.0.0.1 and port 2302, the server shows up, and I can connect without problems. 

    I allready added Steamport and steamqueryport to config.bin, and even disabled BattlEye ( didn't think this would work, but I had to try ).

     

    What am I missing? :D
