How to increase loot spawn rate/amount?

I've been struggling with this for a couple days now.  My buddy and I are running an Epoch server on HFBServers, and I can not seem to get loot spawn rates to increase.

 

I've downloaded the dayz_code.pbo file from my server hosts DayZ_Epoch/addons folder, and I modified cfgLoot.hpp and config.cpp to do things like: Set spawn rate of trash to 0%, and increased the spawn rate of weapons - then repacked it and reuploaded it; but this seems to have entirely no effect.

 

I'm wondering if you somehow have to migrate those files to the mission.pbo file instead so that the updated loot drop rates is downloaded with the mission file by users, but I tried following a guide for that and ending up getting stuck at Wait for Host.

 

I've googled a dozen different ways and tried a dozen different things online and I'm astounded that I can't seem to find any information regarding adjusting loot spawn rates in Day Z Epoch.  Either I'm missing something REALLY simple, or for some reason no one has bothered asking how to adjust them.

 

The basic gist of it is we want military sites (Barracks, hangars, ACTowers, ect) to have more loot spawned, and less trash spawned.

Bump?  How has this not already been answered somewhere if not in this thread?

 

I found a tutorial of sorts but ti wanst me to copy these files

 

dayz_code\Configs\CfgLoot\CfgBuildingLoot.hpp
    dayz_code\Configs\CfgLoot\CfgBuildingPos.hpp
    dayz_code\Configs\CfgLoot\CfgLoot.hpp

 

into my mission pbo from dayz_code - But Epoch doesn't have a cfgbuildingloot or cfgbuildingpos

I am also running into this issue and looked at the same DayZ vanilla tutorial. Any help would be kind.  Google'd the heck out of this. . 

 

Hi Happysan - I'm just dropping in to let you know I got it working.

 

Basically what I did was copy and pasted the two sections in config.cpp dealing with cfgbuildingloot and cfgbuildingpos and pasted those into two seperate files with the correct names - and used those when the tutorial called for cfgbuildingloot and cfgbuildingpos files.  You still want to use the cfgLoot file from the dayz_code pbo though.

 

I've taken the liberty of posting the files online for you (and anyone else) to use.  Note that these files contain editted loot spawns already, so just using these you should see a drastic increase in loot.  You may need to modify it to suit your needs better.

 

Additionally, these files remove Pepsi from the game and replace it entirely with coke - as should be.

Other things that are removed are chemlights, flares and heatpacks.

Hi Alcsaar

 

I got it working great.  Thanks for the pointer to dig into the config.cpp.  I ended up getting it all in one file called cfgbuildingloot.cfg and ditching the pos file (which was just included at the tail of the building script).  

 

Anyway, it's working good.  

 

I'm pretty happy with the server right now.  Just Epoch + RtR Modpack http://exodon87.github.io/RtR-BB-EX-ModPack/ + custom loot table (mad loot)

@happysan Hey man, your links are Dead. Im trying to increase my servers loot spawns, Been working on it for a while and still hardly any loot spawns anywhere.
