Would be the removal of the trades, and all that would be of materials such as stone, wood and the like, it would be collected in nature. 'd Have to go after resources. Leave the tenser and more "survival" game In a matter of safety bases could be put beyond the padlocks also something to fingerprint the doors, something that only players have base access, and thus reduce the number of thefts. But I think you make a good point about gathering resources rather than only buying them on the trader. Gathering resources or collecting loot gets players out wandering the map rather than just stopping at the trader. I was thinking a good way to limit traders and give them a more realistic market would be to simply limit their inventory only to items that were sold to them by players. When they ran out of supplies, players would have to go hunting for them. Mercules Posted February 3, 2014 Report Share Posted February 3, 2014 Technically the traders should have very limited stock and once that stock is gone then they would need players to trade in goods so they can again sell them. However, people whine and complain when they can't buy things from the traders, then the admin gives the traders stock. Yes the game is more interesting when you can't just buy anything you want... but all the bad players out there ruin that for the other players by 1. Stockpiling things instead of selling them and 2. forcing their admins to stock up the traders. On one of the servers I was on the trader ran out of building supplies rather quick right in the beginning forcing us all to actually LOOT everything they need. nicko Posted February 5, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 5, 2014 Newbie, I agree with you, did not want the bases to be indestructible, it makes the game less dynamic and actually survive. Do not know if your base will be full when you get it or not, the something extra in the game, and will make players always stay tuned and improving its base, even making rounds to protect them. I really like DayZ epoch, is the best mod.
