Cannot Sync Player [playername] [#]. Position in debug!

feelgood

Question

hi!

i have many messages in rpt file with desync

for example:

16:32:06 NetServer::SendMsg: cannot find channel #1633482090, users.card=22
16:32:06 NetServer: users.get failed when sending to 1633482090
16:32:06 Message not sent - error 0, message ID = ffffffff, to 1633482090 (Home)

16:37:49 Warning: Cleanup player - person 35:36 not found

16:38:07 Client: Remote object 32:0 not found
16:38:07 Client: Remote object 32:47 not found
16:40:41 Server: Object 32:177 not found (message 91)
16:40:41 Server: Object 32:180 not found (message 99)
16:40:41 Server: Object 32:181 not found (message 91)
16:42:52 "ERROR: server_playerSync: Cannot Sync Player EvilDog [1040]. Position in debug! [-7239.67,19539.3,0.245575]"
16:42:53 "get: STRING (1699460), sent: STRING (1699460)"
16:44:43 "ERROR: server_playerSync: Cannot Sync Player Calip [1153]. Position in debug! [-7237.18,19526.7,0.98233]"

16:44:14 "ERROR: server_playerSync: Cannot Sync Player DeZmonD [1152]. Position in debug! [-7239.67,19539.3,0.245575]"

16:45:48 "CLEANUP: Deleted 17 Loot Piles out of 498"
16:46:50 "Skipping Null Object: <NULL-object>"

how can i fix it?

after 3 hours of server online it start to lag very much, and i need to restart the server, cause it is unplayable.

and what about message "cannot find channel", what does it mean?

epoch 1.0.3.1 / 15-20 players / sarge bots + arma ai (half of them spawn dynamic, when players too close) only sector and bandits hideout) / selfblood / 100 vehicles / custom buildings.

but messages in rpt appeared every time even no players near sector.

thank you!

No idea about the cannot find channel thing, but the position in debug i think it has to do with your mission.sqm

Search your mission.sqm file for -7239.67. You should find this value there...actually it should be many times there.

I've changed all those group points to a positive value

position[]={20386.953,0.15662582,-5039.3979};

position[]={20385.904,0.17103837,-5039.0381};
position[]={20386.109,0.18125358,-5037.7646};

....

etc..

I get fewer 'in debug' errors this way.

I think these coordinates are the places it takes players when they change clothes or when they join the server, as an initialization starting point.

Load your mission.sqm into arma editor and check where those groups are, then move them all to a place inside the map (an island i guess will do fine).

For the split second the player gets teleported there by the server (when you switch skins for example) they will be inside the map area, and not debug.

thank you! yes, you are right! sometimes it happens when players change clothes. and on connect and disconnect.

and what about other servers? do other servers admins change new coordinates to spawn only in the map?
