Mission files server side?

Hi all,

 

currently server  mission file is around 2mb with all of the scripts, quite a lump for players to dl when joining the server.

 

Can someone tell me how to put them server side to lessen the load at joining?

Some files can be moved server side, with proper path settings, it's trial and error really.

 

And 2mb? Who cares?! If you can't download a 2mb file in a reasonable amount of time you really should look to playing something not online..

If you use Sarge AI switch to DZAI it is serverside and updated and sarge is outdated.

 

 

You can move some of the files to the dayz_server

 

and change this:

[] execVM "SomeScript.sqf";

to

[] execVM "\z\addons\dayz_server\somescript.sqf";

Note: Not all scripts will work this way.
