From the Wiki:

Automatic Cleanup of placed items:

By default cleanup happens 6 days after item was placed. To change this edit CleanupPlacedAfterDays setting in the HiveExt.ini

;Negative values will disable this feature
;0 means that ALL empty placed items will be deleted every server restart
;A positive number is how old (in days) a placed empty item must be, in order for it to be deleted

CleanupPlacedAfterDays = -1

That should never cleanup items. Or

CleanupPlacedAfterDays = 90

For 3 months worth if use then they cleanup. A long time may decrease server performance depending on the amount of objects placed.

I forgot to reply to this and its still a big problem in my server, i have the hiveExt.ini but there is no 'CleanupPlacedAfterDays =' in there can i just copy paste it in there?

It should be in there,

;Negative values will disable this feature
;0 means that ALL empty placed items will be deleted every server restart
;A positive number is how old (in days) a placed empty item must be, in order for it to be deleted
;CleanupPlacedAfterDays = 6

thats the full block of code, as it sits it is commented out and will not run at all.

Stupid question. How do i get into my Hiveext.ini ?

Filezilla won't take it, cant open it from the FTP on dayzCP.

As an admin i can spawn in the shtako i need to remake but the area(s) we are using get kinda irritating to set up after 3 times doing so and we plan on using it for the longterm.

Is there any other way to stop them from de-spawning?

www.DayZ.st i believe. Not 100% sure, i literally took over the server from a friend since he is twitching waiting for SA to comeout.

OK, I think i found it but filezilla's interface is giving me this:

Response:    550-This file is banned on server!
Response:    550 Cannot RETR. No permission.
Error:    Critical file transfer error

So i am assuming your right/partially right :(

However you should be able to post a support ticket to the Dayz.st team to add this to your servers/hives ini file. They may not comply however if you wish to set a unlimited date "-1" as it can cause a lot more information to be retained in the database over time.

Especially in the case of shared hosts and not dedicated boxes that owners can control resources allocated if required.

Asking couldn't hurt however.
