Add a custom item or Placeholder

I was wondering if there is any chance i can add an extra item to the game. I mean make the 3d object and import it somehow in the game and Loot tables.

If not....Cant the Epoch guys create some placeholders for us in the next game update/patch?

It would make our life so much easier...

For example:

 

Create some magazine type items and some toolbelt items with a simple name :  placeholderMag1, placeholderMag2...etc.

Anyone who wants to use these items, can add a .pbo in the same folder where the dayz_server.pbo is with the appropriate class name and info of course.

Have a way to change the item name and description in that .pbo as well....(change the placeholder name to Scissors for example)

Have the option to include the plaseholder names in the Loot tables and their category, ex:  ["placeholderMag1", "Houses", 0.5]

Can an epoch guy answer please ? If its possible and why not allow this in future releases ?

Everyone is fine with the default objects ? Noone wants to add new one oO ?

just edit the cfgmagazines or cfgweapons files and call for them in ur compiles and init....

basically the current placeholder is the supplycrate.

Hmm, will this way allow me to add a new 3d model and set its name as well?

Or will it be called suply crate and have its icon?

I do not think you can add any models to the mod.

you can determine whatever name you want it to be called.
