Raryin Posted June 26, 2013 Report Share Posted June 26, 2013 Could anyone identify what might be causing very unstable framerate and often intense fps lag whilst playing Epoch? I tested it in the Arma 2 OA armory and I could play with no FPS issues. This seems to be local to Epoch, on multiple servers (I have asked people on my regular servers and they have no lag) I'm not sure if it is my PC because I have never had any significant issues like this while playing DayZ before, but I will post my specs anyway. Intel Q9505 2.83GHz Quad 4gb Kingston RAM 64-bit Win7 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260 I have experimented significantly with the in-game graphics settings as well as some alternate suggestions such as changing the GPU_MaxFramesAhead and GPU_DetectedFramesAhead fields, but to no avail - I still get stuck somewhere between a miserable 9 ~ 20 frames (20 being perfect conditions). This makes it barely possible to defend myself - I can't aim to save my life. Any suggestions? Help would be MUCH appreciated :D Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Raryin Posted June 26, 2013 Author Report Share Posted June 26, 2013 I have closed every single open application excluding Fraps (for FPS counter), I disabled Windows AERO, lowered every single in-game graphical setting to the minimum, and even ended explorer.exe - standing still in Cherno, without looking around, I am getting an absolute maximum of 17fps. I also get lag drops in cities as per vbawols reply. But over all "I have a pretty beast PC" I get almost stable 60 non stop with vsync on on max settings. Let me know your settings and I can look for some tweaks for you and worst case scenario it may be time to upgrade that NVIDIA GeForce GTX 260. I hear there is a group called Beergamez with a crazy fella called Mick, plays alot of games and drinks a lot of beer and gives stuff away to his twitch followers. /Plug http://www.twitch.tv/poorey Top Bloke though and fun to watch.
