ARMA 1.64 Update Issues

So, it's that time again, with another BIS ARMA update.

First issue is with a BattlEye addweaponcargo kick that did not exist before:

#0 "U_Test1_uniform" 7:21 GroundWeaponHolder
#0 "V_41_EPOCH" 2:4912 Safe_EPOCH

Had these two kicks before I temporarily fixed it. Do not know what the underlying issue or change is though I know that they modified the handling of uniforms, vest and backpacks re: weapons...

We've had those kicks for a while, probably because we were using one of the 'performance updates' that must have incorporated the new methods.

Had to turn off addweaponcargo kicks totally because it seemed to be able to happen with any items - but for some strange reason, not all the time.

Yeah, my "temporary" fix was to remove the filter too.

Hey Guys,

Funny enough, I had made filters for all cfgweapons and then noticed they didn't even get filtered so I removed them.  This recent change is actually fixing a long standing issue so I will amend the filters soon to account for this and other changes in 1.64. Time permitting, I will try to get another server side build of 0.3.9 released in the next few days. 

Please report any other issues since Arma 3 1.64 in this thread.

Please, can you take a look on this issue first? Or anybody else can help with this? Every player was kicked of the server. I have no idea what with the issue is related. Our population is zero now. Thank you a lot.

We have epoch server actually on 570 build, arma 3 was updated via steam cmd line, epoch client was updated right now again and still this happen. Maybe I did some mistake in epoch server or problem is caused by some script if no one else have no problem but until server was updated 1.64 it worked fine. I will try vanilla server and then adding scripts and maybe I can find what it caused. Thank you for your time.

Working on filter updates for addweaponcargo:

This is certainly not completed but should cover most of the cfgweapons you have already reported. If you guys can test this and report back with any more kicks I will continue to update this and then release a new build.

 

Also, @Kenobi , @Carcus , and @ScaRR about the issue with false auto bans since Arma 1.64. I found out that this was actually due to Arma changing the way they handle double quotes and I have a fix ready to test.

Nice! The file addweaponcargo.txt was updated to handle most of these, with the exception of weapons that do not spawn in Epoch or are not base weapon classes:

arifle_Mk20C_ACO_F < not a base weapon so it will spawn with attachments and possibly dupe them when removed.  add this your self with: !="arifle_Mk20C_ACO_F"
FirstAidKit < it is "FAK" in epoch and is a magazine.  add this your self with: !="FirstAidKit"
launch_RPG32_F < not in spawn table  add this your self with: !="launch_RPG32_F"
srifle_LRR_camo_F < added this one to loot table for 0.4+ and updated filter to allow also.

Wow, I was working on my server many hours directly after the update, it was just frustrating Legacy Mode and so on ...

and you already fixed that!!!! Dude you are awesome!!

  • 2. Admin Tool: F5 Delete ist not working, Arma 3 is crashing (0xC0000005 - STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION)

How to correctly add the exception inside addweaponcargo.txt??

At the moment I Put 1 instead of 5, in the beginning fo the file to just log and not kick.

Thanks @TheRipper4K I have updated  addweaponcargo.txt to allow the elcan_epoch and elcan_reflex_epoch. The rest of your kicks are not related to normal epoch loot or loot we should add. Most headgear and vests are reclassed as H_#_EPOCH and V_#_EPOCH to make it easier to write filters for and to replace the visible model of the item with a generic parcel.

For example you have some classes spawning that we have classes for just for this reason:
H_Bandanna_camo ---> H_68_EPOCH
H_HelmetB_light_black ---> H_17_EPOCH
H_Watchcap_camo---> H_76_EPOCH

For 0.4 I have added "H_Watchcap_cbr" as H_105_EPOCH so for now just allow it with !="H_Watchcap_cbr".
Since rocket launchers should likely not be added by default you should allow this yourself with: !="launch_(B_Titan|NLAW)_F"
