Spawn Room?

Wondering why the spawn room is needed? Why not just load into the game and be offered one time only what gender to pick and then go right to a map to select where to spawn?

Dunno, kinda like the 'tactile' experience of choosing gender and spawn points rather than a simple menu. I see your point, but I like the special touch it gives.

I like the immersive quality of identifying my character as a clone in keeping with back story, and having that reinforced at each death, which ties in with clone tax of re-spawning back into the world.
