Scheduled Database Events Not Running

I've moved my server to a dedicated box and found that my database events aren't running as scheduled. I even dropped the old events and created new ones and they're not running. I have no problem running them manually but they aren't running on their own at their scheduled times. I imagine I need to enable event running somehow but Im not sure how. Any help would be great, thanks!

Start up apache and enter phpmyadmin. Then click on your database, followed by events. On the bottom right, you will see:

Make sure the Event scheduler status is turned on.

Sorry this was resolved. I thought I had posted explaining how I resolved this but I guess I forgot. Event scheduler is disabled by defualt in MySQL so I had to enable it. I am using Heidisql not phpmyadmin, although that little button would have been handy.
