BattlEye and Traders Broken

HI, i have been setting up a dayzepoch server for a few weeks now, and i've gotten almost everything setup, but now i am having only 2 issues. I hope someone can help me :D.

 

1. BattlEye initalization failed. For some reason eveytime i start it up with BattlEye=1 in my cfg, it get that error: Battleye Initialization failed. I've redownloaded the BattlEye Server.dll and BattlEye Client.dll (Did both just in case) and set up the BattlEye directory in my .bat for the server start code, with the newest battleye, but it still gets initialization failed. Does anyone know why this is happening or can direct me to a fix?

 

2.Traders not working. When i go to the traders on my server, i don't get the scroll wheel to access the trade menu or the trade metals. I've been told to make sure that in my Server_traders.sqf to make sure the instance at the top is matched up with the instance that my server is in. (Do the traders have automatic safe zones or is that separate from the traders, if its separate how would i enable this?)

 

Some extra info, Im running the server with BluePhoenix Admin Tools, Sarge AI, Chernarus Missions, Self Bloodbagging, and Towing on my server. I don't know if these would cause it, but just a little extra info for you guys.

Most likely one of the addons is causing the problem, though battleye is not normally effected by mission addons.. I would check your server install for that.. Usually caused by the wrong battleye dll..

 

I would go with a clean server and client install of Epoch and re-add the addons now that you have had some practice adding them.. Starting from scratch and ensuring every step doesn't break something is always the best way :)

Well it fixed the BattlEye problem, but still for some odd reason, i cannot access the trader menues. I thought it might have been because i am enabled in the Admin Tools Section, but. . . I had a regular player try to test the shops for me, and they didn't work for them either.

Did you have your players try to go into the first person "aiming" mode when looking at a trader? A lot of time the trader menus won't come up until you do this.

Could 1 of the Addons possibly make this error? Like the towing?

 

Could the Towing make it not work? One of my players suggested the towing was the problme

If you've replaced your fn_selfactions.sqf replace it with the original and merge in the requirements for your addons .

fn_selfactions.sqf, where would this be at? I have one in my SelfBloodBag folder, but thats it, i do have a faction.sqf in my mission folder

It's in Dayz_code.pbo. If you are replacing it in your mission then that's most likely where the problem is.

No i didn't replace it in my mission, the DayZ Code is in the @DayZ_Epoch right?

That may cause problems.. What did you replace it with ?

It was a custom DayZ_Server.pbo made by a person who made a "compatible" version of an epoch server with towing, bloodbag, sarge ai, chernarus missions, and BluePhoenix Admin tools

Rightclicking the traders solved all problems for me. It was introduced with faction.sqf for the NPC missions. Since then it's a hit or miss if you get the menu but if you don't right click him (Zoom) works 100%

Zooming in did nothing for me, do you have all the same addons as me? Towing self BB, SargeAI, Chernarus Missions, and BluePhoenix Admin tools?
