Armed Offroad only available in red?

I see B_G_Offroad_01_armed_EPOCH in a3_epoch_config.pbo.  Will we see the default config file updated to include these?

Are they available in any color other than red?

Will ammo for the gun start appearing in loot spawn at some later date?

You can add them yourself to the epochconfig.hpp, to spawn the ammo you can edit the loot lists or have a compound or traders etc

Thank you.  Editing epochconfig.hpp is easy.  But "editing" the loot lists requires opening PBO files and changing the contents, which I've yet to find a definitive break down of how to do.  Also, doing that will change the checksum, invalidating the "key" and effectively break Battleye, right?

Also, any editing I do will not survive an update of new PBO files which will require re-editing after every update, right?

I've been in IT for many years and have broad experience in many development environments and programming languages.  I think the PBO thing has me wedged because there is no actual documentation, just youtube videos.

No you're fine to edit them, you could even modify an Ai mission and have the ammo as a reward, random crates, many ways to get them in game.

Thank you Richie.  I'm going to assume you pointing me toward game customization as an answer to my original questions that we won't see the armed Offroads in the the official releases anytime soon.  Hopefully, there will be information available one day for how to do the things you're suggesting.

 

In the meantime, there's always the admin menu and spawning a new truck when the ammo runs out.

phm , Epoch Staff don't always mention all the options .  Try "   B_G_Offroad_01_armed_F  " for a camo truck . Here is a list with pictures http://wiki.7thcavalry.us/wiki/ARMA_3_Vehicles     .   If you want to rearm your truck , put an ammo truck in , and be the last person in the drivers seat of both trucks to refill the offroad .     : )   Happy Epoching
