Custom loot table help

Question

So I need help with custom loot tables on my DayZ Overpoch server. I currently host with Vilayer and I've tried several different tutorials and they all end up with the same result "wait for host".  If I could get some help it would be much appreciated, I've been at it for hours.

Ok, below is my latest RPT log, as for unpacking and repacking my server, Vilayer lets you edit your pbos' without having to unpack/pack them but I use "WinSCP" because I find it incredibly easier than the browser editor.

You placed the loot files in a "custom" folder in the root of your mission folder?

 

So you're sure the path is correct?

 

You double checked these steps:?

 

Third add
#include "custom\loot\CfgBuildingLoot.hpp"
#include "custom\loot\CfgLootSmall.hpp"
#include "custom\loot\CfgLoot.hpp"

to your description under enableItemsDropping=0;

Last in your init place DZE_MissionLootTable = true; With your other DZE things.

 

 

And they're all in the right place?

 

Maybe post your description.ext & your init.sqf

I'm quite sure that I have the file path correct, custom<loot<Files

 

I have the custom folder located in the directory with other folders like system, modules, missions, init, compile ect..

Is the mission pbo/folder the folder with DayZ_Epoch_number.mapname? 

 

I'm going to give that a try and see what happens.

 

Edit: I'm at a total loss. I've tried every folder and it seems to me that no matter what I do I get the "wait for host" error.

I use Vilayer so may be able to help. It needs to be in your mission file - which is vilayercodecustom -> missions -> epoch.chernarus (or whatever map youre using) -> custom

 

I've been modifying my loot tables incredibly heavily and they all work fine. If this is definitely where you've got your files reply back and I'll have another think/ look

Ok, so yes. That is where I did have the custom folder located. But for some reason I STILL get the wait for host error, could it be that my loot tables are bad or something? I didn't create them myself. I just googled' the default loot tables for Overpoch because i didn't want to screw them up myself.

BTW, did you look at your rpt to see if there's any new errors?

 

This is a very simple install so I don't see why it's not working for you.

I think i might of figured out what was going on. I switched out the loot tables for the ones that are listed in the tutorial and now i'm no longer getting the wait for host error!
