Help on installing scripts where i need to edit the server pbo

Hello Everyone

 

I'm new here and i have had a dayz epoch server with dayz.st for a few weeks now and whenever i try to edit the server.pbo and add a script to it like the dayz chernarus mission my server gets stuck on waiting for server to start authentication i was wondering if any of you know how to get it to work or what my problem is if needed i will upload my server pbo and mission file Thanks

Hello Winkleman129, What mods are you trying to get going? I would start with that information and we can see what you need to get going.

With your PBO editor you are likely as I was when I first started unpacking it and then working on it and making a new PBO but right clicking the folder (or something similar). Dont do this as it screws up the pathing in the PBO. Instead, drag out the file you need to work on (accept that you are breaking the encryption), work on it and drag it back into place doing the edits one file at a time. You can drag in folders, the essential thing is to not unpack the PBO if possible. I use PBO Manager (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=16369)

i can't drag folders into the server pbo with pbo manager

What operation system are you using? I never had a problem with cpbo on windows 7 and 8 (64 bit), I also use it oin my server with windows 2008 r2 (32- and 64-bit).

you just have to start it as administrator the first time so it can register the file extensions properly.

or why is it not working for you?
