How to Redirect / Forward to another Server ?

Greetings,

 

lately i have the problem that many Players join my Testserver (where I, as the name says it, test new mods...), but I´d like them to join my "real" Server instead, ofc i can whitelist my Server but that doesnt do good since I want them to play, not to not being able to join in the first place.

 

So to cut it short, is there a way to let Players join my Liveserver instead of my Testserver?

At the moment i have some ideas about setting up a Hive but im not sure about it, has anyone some advice? :)

set a password on your testserver... like everyone else does...

also set the name to TESTSERVER or something like that...

Well the whole thing is named Testserver but this doesnt stop them from joining, and as i mentioned above, I dont want them to NOT BE ABLE to connect, I´d like to get some new Players. Thats the reason Im looking for a way to redirect them.

there IS NO WAY to redirect them... just set the password... ^^

if they are to stupid to check whats going on if they cant connect... im not sure if you want these kids on your main server then ^^ (i for my part wouldnt ^^)

Rename the server completely different. Example:

 

• Production server = Swordsworn's Play house | Free milkshakes | 2.201.23
• Test server = Dick licker's test server

If both your main server and the test server have similiar naming, people might skip over the main server to connect to the test server without actually reading.

 

And yes, password protect ...

 

P.S - I personally wouldn't join a server by the name Dick licker, just saying. lol

And now im realy thinking about naming it Dick lickers...  but dont know if this wouldnt attract even more attention :D :D
