Need help setting up a DayZ-Epoch Server on a Windows-Root-Server

Basti890

Question

Hey guys,

due several problems I decided to swith from linux to an Windows Server 2012 R2 Root.

But I can't find a good actual tutorial, how to setup a Epoch-Server.

It would be good to know, how can i download The Files from Steam (is there a steamcmd also for Windows available?), how do I start the Server and and and.

Please give an advice to a good tutorial, I can only find crappy stuff, like copying 16GB of my game files to the root, which is really silly and would take ridiculous much time.

kind regards Basti890

Less than 2 minutes in google and you got your answer about arma 2/oa steamcmd installation

http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?158819-SteamCMD-Install

http://www.404games.co.uk/forum/index.php?/tutorials/article/3-how-to-setup-an-arma2-combined-ops-server-using-steamcmd/

Once that's done you can follow

And by follow i mean you should follow folder merging of it and epoch server file setup parts and as far databases go i think you'll handle standalone MySQL installation with mysql workbench

Edit: steams appid might need a change by now since that topic is pretty damn old
