My newb-ish workaround was to just add smoke grenades to every trader. :P

 

In epochconfig.hpp:

starterTraderItems[] = { { "SmokeShellRed" }, { 500 } }; // Starter Items for fresh spawned trader first array is classnames second is quantity.
 
 
That will add them to the brown/green traders, but not the black dots. My 2nd newb-ish workaround for that is to simply edit those black dot traders with redis desktop manager or Redsmin and add smokes to them as well.
 
 
I can confirm as well, throwing a smoke grenade then buying a car directly after, the car will spawn literally on top of the smoke. Very handy.
