Type/Mission in server browser and Arma 3 updates

Two quick questions.

 

1) In the server browser the vast majority of servers have Sandbox/Epoch listed under Type/Mission but mine and a couple of other have <blank>/Arma3, I can't see where this might be being set. It's not affecting the server but it's a constant niggling irritation.

 

2) On the subject of Arma updates, where is the best place to watch for getting advance warning of when a new patch is getting released, I'd rather be on the ball when an update needs applied than waiting for people to report an issue connecting.

The announcements forum is the best place to get heads up on new releases. Subscribe to the forum and you'll get emails when a new post is created. Only the Dev's can post in there, so it's like a direct news feed from them.

It was more for Arma 3 updates rather than the Epoch updates. I could maybe do something so it runs the steam updater between restarts. I'll play with it over the weekend see what I can come up with.

I have the same problem. And I get the feeling that the server is therefore more difficult to find. Every server with Mission=Arma 3 has currently 0 players.

Solved. As long as noone connects to the server, the mission file is not loaded and therefore type and mission will not be set.

How on earth do people find the server then?
