Back to topic. Attacks on the servers are going to happen and it is nearly impossible to find out/prove who is doing it. Security on the servers is gonna get better but it's like putting a band aide on a gunshot wound, people will always find away around it. Plus trying to spend their time developing a game plus security at the same time is a monumental task for large game studios let alone a small development group. All we can do it report it and giv we thwm time to fix it. To answer your question some of these are obviously attacks because the are too random and all encompassing to be a spontaneous glitch. Give him a broken finger ha ha. ;) hackers, whiners, hoarders, camper, heros, pascifists are all a part of any game, it wouldn't be a proper alpha without the full spectrum of us.. real hackers are few and far between and wouldn't be stupid enough to bring down a server with their actions. If I want a game with no hackers or issues - OR at least if I want a game that I SHOULD be able to expect these to be at a minimum, I'll go buy a retail box off the shelf or a finished game from Steam - then I should be able to expect these issues to be at a minimum! Instead, I'm taking part in an alpha test - and as for spotting the bugs/issues? I also think the OP did a good thing reporting this asap since most testers seem to just be playing the game instead of stopping to report bugs etc. The Epoch team is doing there best so we the community should do our best to give feedback ...and exercise patience. We all have a long way to go before we can viably choose to leave because the product isn't perfect. I'm happy to see the OP still reporting in. So now we should all move along there is nothing else to see here. What have we learned? 1. There will always be hackers. 2.Alpha are riddled with glitches be patient and notify the staff. 3. Most important please calm down and collect your thoughts before posting and making yourself and others look silly. This way something can be implemented to prevent it from happening in the future (Hopefully). Best to find every error and exploit now so it can be worked on. Really Ashido. PMSFL @ that! Basically what I was saying is how can you test shit if you have people hacking. script errors going on like crazy and being kicked 15 mins before restart. I'm not bitching but expressing a minor feeling towards the game and yes it is stressful, and I can't imagine what the developers are going through trying to crack these issues. You guys just really trolled the fuck out of us and that has pissed me the fuck off wankers. HolezInYa yes mass loots for building thats the plan. i build a 6 story tower and found many problems with it. One guy was picking up the floor and ended up surfing half way to the moon. that was dam hilarious... there have been some amazing funny parts in this Alpha.
